¿Cómo se vincula la lucha del pueblo palestino con México?

Palestine is a country that is experiencing a form of brutal colonization by Israel and other imperialist countries that are behind a colonizing project and that is part of an agenda of regional control of the Middle East. The recent history of Palestine is marked by the horror to which Zionism has subjected its people, under the dynamics of wars, displacement of their lands, the theft of their properties, the appropriation of their culture, and even the denial of their history. All this horror is characteristic of what the colonization processes of oppressed peoples have been in human history.

Palestinians experience segregation in their own land through what is known as the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, surrounded by fences and walls that prevent them from returning to the lands that have been stolen from them by Israeli settlers, in addition to several checkpoints and surveillance. that limit their free movement even in the land where they are segregated. They are harassed all the time by the Israeli army, and almost every day some person or group of Palestinians are arbitrarily detained by the Israeli Occupation Forces to be imprisoned and tortured. Israel limits the passage of water; controls energy services and even maintains control of calorie consumption per person. Palestinians living in territory controlled by the State of Israel have Israeli citizenship, but suffer systematic discrimination from Israeli Jews. A significant number of the Israeli working class are Muslims or Palestinians with work permits.

The inhabitants of the West Bank are constantly attacked by armed settlers, who little by little are displacing them from their lands with the help of the Israeli army, while the Gaza Strip is a gigantic overcrowded complex of Palestinians that is constantly attacked with bombs and missiles. Mexico does not suffer from this type of colonialist horrors, but there is undoubtedly a tendency towards it.

Palestine and Mexico have more in common than just a wall that separates us from an imperialist country that took more than half of our land from us. Just as Israelis can enter Palestinian territory without any problem, gringos are able to cross through Mexican territory at will without any type of restriction, while Mexicans, to cross the northern border, have to submit to the militarized immigration policy of the United States and go through rigorous filters that generally exclude people who are poor, who do not speak English, who lack property or who sell their labor power to survive. This filter also includes border surveillance from the Israeli company Elbit Systems. Just as Palestinians are an important percentage of Israel's working class, Mexicans residing in the U.S. are also a pillar of the North American economy. In our own country, many of the gringos who come to live here repeatedly discriminate against the Mexican population with the help of some local businessmen, creating communities of white foreigners and businesses where they speak only English and attract white tourists to receive their dollars and euros while they spend pesos. Many of them also promote the inflation of the real estate market in tourist areas and the so-called “magical towns” to ensure that they only live with other white foreigners or rich Mexicans. This is already a reality in places like Cancún (as well as part of the Riviera Maya), Los Cabos, San Miguel de Allende, Cuetzalan and Tepoztlan.

Mexico, in addition to being a semi-colonial country subject to the American economy, is also subject to its national security policy, which has turned Mexico into a battlefield for paramilitary groups that help multinational companies to appropriate the territory of indigenous communities under the pretext of combating drug trafficking. Within the framework of this war against drugs that has left approximately 400,000 dead, the State of Israel sells weapons, training, surveillance and espionage equipment to the Mexican army, the police and the National Guard, which they use to combat protesters, activists, peasants, journalists and immigrants who try to cross the northern border of Mexico, while the drug lords live under complete impunity, making business with the national and imperialist bourgeoisie, and negotiating with the gringo authorities so that Washington continues to maintain a control of the drug business until they are discarded and other drug lords take their place, perpetuating control of the Latin American region through militarization policies.

And just as Israel exports an apparatus of violence to countries like Mexico, it also contributes to people who have committed crimes in our country enjoying complete impunity. Such are the cases of Andrés Roemer, a politician who during his time in TV Azteca sexually harassed and raped several women, and Tomás Zerón, one of the former attorneys who created the “historical truth,” an invention about false facts that covers up to this day the whereabouts of 43 students from the Ayotzinapa Rural School, who in 2014 were kidnapped by police and soldiers. In the particular case of Andrés Roemer, he was detained by the Israeli authorities only in October of this year, however, Zerón is protected by a network of Israeli businessmen who sell surveillance and espionage systems to Mexico, known as NGO. An Israeli official revealed that the protection of Zerón is intentional, because Mexico was one of the countries that in the past voted in favor of investigations into Israeli war crimes against Palestine, in addition, the ties that former criminal officials - like Zerón - have with the Zionist bourgeoisie in Mexico are many, which is why they also protect themselves by protecting him.

Also, here the Zionist bourgeoisie has done big business with real estate and water. Only in 2015 there was an attempt to impose a New Water Law by the then general director of Conagua (the Mexican institution that manage all that has to do with water), the Israeli businessman David Korenfeld, while the Mekorot company (also Israeli) has benefited from many contracts for water works in Mexico. Real estate companies, such as QuieroCasa, owned by businessman José Shabot, have also carried out several dispossession projects that have contributed to gentrification and inflation of the real estate market, constructing buildings illegally and taking away their right to water from poor neighborhoods. Such is the case of Aztecas 215, an apartment building that was built on the neighborhood of Santo Domingo in Mexico City, where there is no efficient water service. When QuieroCasa began to build their appartments, they discovered an underground river, but to prevent construction from being interrupted, they chose to connect the river to the sewers, which caused a fight by the inhabitants of Santo Domingo for water and against this company between 2015 and 2019. However, the real estate company always had the support of the government of Mexico City.

The Mexican government has refused to break any type of diplomatic, commercial or military relations with Israel, exhibiting its subordination to the Zionist bourgeoisie and the gringo imperialism that supports it, despite the fact that many countries, including Colombia, Bolivia, Chile, Honduras and Belize have taken some type of action against the genocide carried out by Israel against the Gaza Strip. This being so, it is the oppressed who suffer the segregation and oppression of the gringos and the Zionists who must show solidarity with the oppressed in Palestine. We call to continue supporting the Palestinian people from all possible trenches, and to combat the bourgeois pacifist discourse that criminalizes the Palestinian resistance, because just as in Mexico the self-defense groups and community police protect their communities from organized crime and paramilitary groups, the resistance brigades in Palestine defend themselves against the war of extermination that their people suffer.

Palestina es un país que vive una forma de colonización brutal por parte de Israel y otros países imperialistas que se encuentran detrás de un proyecto colonizador y que es parte de una agenda de control regional del Medio Oriente. La historia reciente de Palestina está marcada por el horror al que el sionismo ha sometido a su pueblo, bajo las dinámicas de guerras, desplazamiento de sus tierras, el robo de sus propiedades, la apropiación de su cultura, e incluso la negación de su historia. Todo este horror es característico de lo que han sido los procesos de colonización de los pueblos oprimidos en la historia humana.

Los palestinos viven una segregación en su propia tierra mediante lo que se conoce como Cisjordania y la Franja de Gaza, cercados por mallas y muros que les impiden regresar a las tierras que les han robado los colonos israelíes, además de varios puestos de control y vigilancia que les limitan el libre tránsito aún en la tierra donde se encuentran segregados. Son acosados todo el tiempo por el ejército israelí, y casi todos los días alguna persona o grupo de personas palestinas son detenidos de manera arbitraria por las Fuerzas de Ocupación Israelí para ser encarcelados y torturados. Israel limita el paso del agua, controla los servicios de energía y mantiene incluso un control de consumo de calorías por persona. Los palestinos que viven en el territorio controlado por el Estado de Israel cuentan con ciudadanía israelí, pero sufren de discriminación sistemática por parte de los judíos israelíes. Un número importante de la clase obrera israelí es musulmana o palestina con permisos de trabajo.

Los habitantes de Cisjordania son constantemente atacados por colonos armados, quienes poco a poco los van desplazando de sus tierras con ayuda del ejército israelí, mientras que la Franja de Gaza es un gigantesco complejo de hacinamiento de palestinos que es constantemente atacado con bombas y misiles. México no padece este tipo de horrores colonialistas, pero sin duda existe una tendencia hacia ello.

Palestina y México tenemos más en común que solamente un muro que nos separa de un país imperialista que nos quitó más de la mitad de nuestra tierra. Así como los israelíes pueden entrar a territorio palestino sin ningún problema, los gringos son capaces de cruzar por el territorio mexicano a voluntad sin ningún tipo de restricción, mientras que los mexicanos, para cruzar la frontera norte, tenemos que someternos a la política migratoria militarizada de los Estados Unidos y pasar por rigurosos filtros que excluyen por lo general a las personas pobres, que no hablan inglés, que carecen de propiedades o que venden su fuerza de trabajo para subsistir. Este filtro también incluye la vigilancia fronteriza de la empresa israelí Elbit Systems. Así como los palestinos son un porcentaje importante de la clase obrera de Israel, los mexicanos que residen en E.U. son también pilar de la economía estadounidense. En nuestro propio país, muchos de los gringos que llegan a vivir aquí discriminan de manera recurrente a la población mexicana con ayuda de algunos empresarios locales, creando comunidades de extranjeros blancos y comercios en los que se habla solamente en inglés y se atraen a turistas blancos para recibir sus dólares y euros mientras ellos gastan pesos. Muchos de ellos también propician la inflación del mercado inmobiliario en zonas turísticas y los llamados “pueblos mágicos” para asegurarse de convivir solamente con otros extranjeros blancos o con mexicanos con un alto poder adquisitivo. Esto es ya una realidad en lugares como Cancún (así como buena parte de la Riviera Maya), Los Cabos, San Miguel de Allende, Cuetzalan y Tepoztlán.

México además de ser un país semicolonial sometido a la economía gringa, también es sometido a su política de seguridad nacional, lo cual ha convertido a México en un campo de batalla de grupos paramilitares que ayudan a empresas multinacionales a apropiarse de territorio de comunidades indígenas, bajo el pretexto de combatir el narcotráfico. En el marco de esta guerra contra el narco que ha dejado aproximadamente 400 mil muertos, el Estado de Israel vende armas, adiestramiento y equipo de vigilancia y espionaje al ejército mexicano, a la policía y a la Guardia Nacional, los cuales usan para combatir a manifestantes, activistas, campesinos, periodistas e inmigrantes que tratan de cruzar la frontera norte de México, mientras que los capos de la droga viven bajo completa impunidad, haciendo negocios con la burguesía nacional e imperialista, y negociando con las autoridades gringas para que Washington continúe manteniendo un control del negocio de las drogas hasta que estos sean desechados y otros grandes capos tomen su lugar, perpetuando un control de la región latinoamericana mediante políticas de militarización.

Y así como Israel exporta un aparato de violencia a países como México, también contribuye a que personajes que han cometido crímenes en nuestro país gocen de completa impunidad. Tales son los casos de Andrés Roemer, un político que durante su tiempo en TV Azteca acosó sexualmente y violó a varias mujeres, y Tomás Zerón, uno de los exprocuradores creadores de la “verdad histórica”, un invento sobre falsos hechos que encubren hasta hoy el paradero de 43 estudiantes de la Escuela Normal Rural de Ayotzinapa que en 2014 fueron secuestrados por policías y militares. En el caso particular de Andrés Roemer, éste fue detenido por las autoridades israelíes apenas en octubre de este año, sin embargo, Zerón es protegido por una red de empresarios israelíes que venden sistemas de vigilancia y espionaje a México, conocida como NGO. En el pasado, un funcionario israelí reveló que el resguardo de Zerón es intencional, debido a que México fue uno de los países que en el pasado votó a favor de indagatorias sobre crímenes de guerra de Israel contra Palestina, además de que los lazos que tienen exfuncionarios criminales como Zerón con la burguesía sionista en México son muchos, motivo por el cual también se protegen ellos al protegerlo a él.

Y es que aquí la burguesía sionista ha hecho grandes negocios con inmobiliarias y con el agua. Tan solo en 2015 hubo un intento de imponer una Nueva Ley de Aguas de mano del entonces director general de la Conagua, el empresario israelí David Korenfeld, mientras que la empresa Mekorot (también israelí) se ha beneficiado de muchos contratos sobre obras hídricas en México. También empresas inmobiliarias, como QuieroCasa, del empresario José Shabot, han llevado varios proyectos de despojo que han contribuido a la gentrificación y a la inflación del mercado inmobiliario, construyendo edificios de manera ilegal y arrebatándole a colonias pobres su derecho al agua. Tal es el caso de Aztecas 215, un edificio de departamentos que se construyó en el pedregal de Santo Domingo en la CDMX, donde no se cuenta con un servicio eficiente de agua. Cuando QuieroCasa comenzó a construir su edificio, descubrieron un río subterráneo, pero para evitar que la construcción se interrumpiera, optaron por conectar el río al drenaje, lo que provocó una lucha de los habitantes del pedregal por el agua entre los años 2015 y 2019, pero la inmobiliaria tuvo siempre el apoyo del gobierno de la CDMX.

El gobierno mexicano se ha negado a romper cualquier tipo de relaciones diplomáticas, comerciales o militares con Israel, exhibiendo su subordinación a la burguesía sionista y al imperialismo gringo que la respalda, a pesar de que muchos países, incluyendo Colombia, Bolivia, Chile, Honduras y Belice han realizado algún tipo de acción en contra del genocidio que lleva a cabo Israel contra la Franja de Gaza. Siendo así, es a los oprimidos que sufrimos la segregación y la opresión de los gringos y los sionistas los que debemos solidarizarnos con los oprimidos de Palestina. Llamamos a continuar apoyando al pueblo palestino desde todas las trincheras posibles, y a combatir el discurso pacifista burgués que criminaliza la resistencia palestina, pues, así como en México los grupos de autodefensas y policías comunitarias protegen a sus comunidades del crimen organizado y de los grupos paramilitares, así las brigadas de resistencia en Palestina se defienden ante la guerra de exterminio que sufre su pueblo.
