Argentina: A pesar de la represión y el avance del plan de ajuste, el gobierno está cada vez más débil y la izquierda mucho más fuerte

Despite repression and advance of the adjustment plan, the government is increasingly weaker and the left much stronger

Yesterday, the police, gendarmerie and prefecture harshly repressed the left, which, without the CGT and Peronism, demonstrated for the second consecutive day against the Milei adjustment law and the capitalist opposition. Despite the phenomenal deployment of repressive forces, the socialist organizations did not retreat and remained in Congress until the late hours of the night.

The excessive repression, which is an characteristic symptom of the government's astonishing weakness in implementing its adjustment plan, was repudiated in all mass media, even those that support the ruling party, such as TN. The people, as a whole, witnessed that, faced with this reality, the revolutionary left is the only guarantee of a consistent struggle against the Adjustment Plan.

The comrades of Convergencia Socialista were on the front line of combat against the attacks by the uniformed men, demonstrating great bravery, which was vindicated by other left-wing militants, who also faced repression. This context contributes to the construction of a unitary morality and struggle that will forge, from now on, the unity of the most consistent revolutionaries.

The Milei Plan has become completely blurred because in the negotiation with other forces of the bosses it lost a good part of its main articles. In the end it will be imposed since the bourgeoisie, as a whole, needs to have anti-worker and anti-popular policies. However, its implementation will take place in a framework in which the government and the entire regime will be in a very bad position in the face of the resistance, which the left will have the possibility of leading.

For this, it will be necessary to promote the construction and expansion of hundreds of assemblies, in workplaces and neighbourhoods, together with regional coordinations and a large national coordination, or Coordinating Center, that unifies the struggles and prepares the Argentinazo (a phrase for popular uprising in Argentina, Ed.) that is needed for overthrowing the ruling elite and to impose a fundamental way out. We must turn the country into a great assembly, of a foundational nature, in which the people decide what “model” is needed to get out of the crisis.

There, we socialists will propose to break with imperialism, stop paying the debts that tie Argentina to the yoke of the Great Powers, expropriate large companies and put them to work under workers' control, organize a Plan of Works and Services that gives work for millions and guarantee an increase in the quality of life of the whole, expropriate and nationalize banking and foreign trade. For these measures to be effective, it will be necessary to establish a workers' and popular government, controlled and defended by grassroots assemblies and popular self-defence organizations.

Ayer, la policía, gendarmería y prefectura reprimieron con dureza a la izquierda, que, sin la CGT y el peronismo, se manifestó por segundo día consecutivo contra la ley de ajuste de Milei y la oposición capitalista. A pesar del despliegue fenomenal de las fuerzas represivas, las organizaciones socialistas no retrocedieron y permanecieron en el Congreso hasta últimas horas de la noche. 

La represión desmedida, que es un síntoma elocuente de la debilidad pasmosa que tiene el gobierno para garantizar su plan de ajuste, fue repudiada en todos los medios de difusión masivos, incluso aquellos que apoyan al oficialismo, como TN. El pueblo, de conjunto, fue testigo de que, frente a esta realidad, es la izquierda revolucionaria la única garantía de lucha consecuente contra los ajustadores. 

Los compañeros y las compañeras de Convergencia Socialista estuvieron en la primera línea de combate contra los ataques de los uniformados, demostrando una gran valentía, que fue reivindicada por otros y otras militantes de la izquierda, que también enfrentaron la represión. Ese contexto contribuye a la construcción de una moral unitaria y de lucha que forjará, de acá en más, la unidad de los revolucionarios y las revolucionarias más consecuentes. 

El Plan de Milei, totalmente desdibujado, porque en la negociación con otras fuerzas patronales perdió buena parte de sus principales artículos, terminará imponiéndose, ya que la burguesía, de conjunto, necesita contar con políticas antiobreras y antipopulares. Sin embargo, su implementación tendrá lugar en un marco en el cual, el gobierno y el conjunto del régimen quedarán muy mal parados frente a la resistencia, que la izquierda tendrá la posibilidad de liderar. 

Para eso, será necesario impulsar la construcción y extensión de cientos de asambleas, en los lugares de trabajo y los barrios, junto con coordinadoras regionales y una gran coordinadora nacional, o Centro Coordinador, que unifique las luchas y prepare el Argentinazo que hace falta para echarlos a todos a imponer una salida de fondo. Hay que convertir al país en una gran asamblea, de carácter fundacional, en la que el pueblo decida qué “modelo” hace falta para salir de la crisis. 

Allí, los y las socialistas, propondremos romper con el imperialismo, dejar de pagar las deudas que atan a la Argentina al yugo de las potencias, expropiar las grandes empresas y ponerlas a funcionar bajo control obrero, organizar un Plan de Obras y Servicios que dé trabajo a millones y garantice el aumento de la calidad de vida del conjunto, expropiar y nacionalizar la banca y el comercio exterior. Para que esas medidas sean efectivas, será necesario poner en pie un gobierno obrero y popular, controlado y defendido por las asambleas de base y los organismos populares de autodefensa.
