Preface: Below we publish the English-language translation of a report about the political situation in Russia, written by our comrade Alexey Sedov from Socialist Tendency, the RCIT’s section in Russia. This spring has been rich in events that will undoubtedly affect the future development of the country:

– The presidential elections in the Russian Federation took place without any surprises. Vladimir Putin, according to official data (which, of course, should not be trusted), gained up to 87% of the votes and strengthened the Bonapartist dictatorship. Socialists, as part of the “Voice Against All” campaign, held protests in a number of Russian cities, which helped establish or strengthen previously established ties with a number of opposition groups.

– Almost immediately after the elections, a monstrous terrorist attack took place in Moscow’s Crocus City Hall, for which the banned “Islamic State” claimed responsibility. Russian security forces tried to add Ukrainian and American traces to these events, create anti-immigrant hysteria that was beneficial to the government, and, with the help of open public torture on camera, declare that laws for them exist only on paper and they will go to the end. These events will severely affect the lives of the country’s citizens.

– The spring offensive of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the Kharkov region has begun. Putin’s imperialist armies want to push the Armed Forces of Ukraine away from the borders of their state by devouring territories and creating a demarcation line at the expense of the Ukrainian nation. The offensive is also being carried out on other sectors of the front, where the Russian army has tactical advantages.

– Catastrophic floods took place after the country did already experience a series of disasters in winter because of overvoltage of heating systems which resulted in many frozen apartments (even in Moscow!). The floods in spring hit many regions of the Russian Federation, especially Orenburg, Orsk, and Yakutia. The damage is estimated to be huge with a number of people dead and injured.

This is how we will remember the spring of 2024. To all comrades - good luck in the struggle for a new, just world!

Нынешняя весна была богата на события, которые без сомнения, повлияют на будущий облик страны:

– Выборы президента Российской Федерации прошли без каких-либо сюрпризов. Владимир Путин по официальным данным (которым, конечно, не стоит доверять) набрал до 87% голосов избирателей и укрепил бонапартистскую диктатуру. Социалисты в рамках акции "Голос против всех" провели акции протеста в ряде городов России, что помогло установить или укрепить ранее установленные связи с рядом оппозиционных групп.

– Почти сразу после выборов произошёл чудовищный теракт в московском Крокус Сити Холле,  ответственность за который взяло на себя запрещённое Исламское государство. Российские силовики попытались приплести к этим событиям украинский и американский след, нагнать выгодную правительству антииммигрантскую истерию и с помощью открытых публичных пыток на камеру заявить, что законы для них существуют только на бумаге и они пойдут до конца. Эти события ещё неоднократно скажутся на жизни граждан страны.

– Началось весеннее наступление ВСРФ на Харьковщину. Путинские империалистические армии хотят отодвинуть ВСУ от границ своего государства с помощью пожирания территорий и создания демаркационной линии за счёт украинской нации. Так же наступление ведётся на других участках фронта, где армия России имеет тактические преимущества.

– Наводнения в качестве бедствия сменили коммунальный коллапс, который пережила Россия зимой. Паводок ударил по многим регионам РФ, особенно по Оренбургу, Орску, Якутии. Ущерб исчисляется огромными суммами, есть погибшие и пострадавшие.

Такой мы запомним весну 2024 года. Всем товарищам – удачи в борьбе за новый справедливый мир!

Esta primavera ha sido rica en acontecimientos que sin duda afectarán el desarrollo futuro del país:

– Las elecciones presidenciales en la Federación Rusa se desarrollaron sin sorpresas. Vladimir Putin, según datos oficiales (en los que, por supuesto, no hay que confiar), obtuvo hasta el 87% de los votos y fortaleció la dictadura bonapartista. Los socialistas, como parte de la campaña "Voz contra todos", realizaron protestas en varias ciudades rusas, lo que ayudó a establecer o fortalecer vínculos previamente establecidos con varios grupos de oposición.

– Casi inmediatamente después de las elecciones tuvo lugar un monstruoso atentado terrorista en el Ayuntamiento de Crocus en Moscú, del que se atribuyó la responsabilidad el prohibido “Estado Islámico”. Las fuerzas de seguridad rusas intentaron agregar huellas ucranianas y estadounidenses a estos eventos, crear una histeria antiinmigrante que fue beneficiosa para el gobierno y, con la ayuda de torturas públicas y abiertas ante las cámaras, declarar que las leyes para ellos sólo existen en el papel y no se cumplirán. Al final estos acontecimientos afectarán gravemente la vida de los ciudadanos del país.

– Ha comenzado la ofensiva de primavera de las Fuerzas Armadas de la Federación Rusa en la región de Jarkov. Los ejércitos imperialistas de Putin quieren alejar a las Fuerzas Armadas de Ucrania de las fronteras de su estado devorando territorios y creando una línea de demarcación a expensas de la nación ucraniana. La ofensiva también se lleva a cabo en otros sectores del frente, donde el ejército ruso tiene ventajas tácticas.

– Se produjeron inundaciones catastróficas después de que el país ya sufriera una serie de desastres en invierno debido a la sobretensión de los sistemas de calefacción, que provocaron que muchos apartamentos se congelaran (¡incluso en Moscú!). Las inundaciones de primavera afectaron a muchas regiones de la Federación Rusa, especialmente Orenburg, Orsk y Yakutia. Se estima que los daños serán enormes, con un número de muertos y heridos.
