The US, which until very recently rejected any resolution in the UN Security Council (UNSC) calling to end the war, has submitted a resolution that, according to the White House, will end the war. This resolution was adopted at a UNSC meeting yesterday. It is both a chance and a trap.

The American plan has three phases. During the first phase, which would last six weeks, there would be an “immediate, full, and complete ceasefire with the release of hostages including women, the elderly and the wounded, the return of the remains of some hostages who have been killed.” There would be an exchange of Palestinian prisoners held in Israeli jails as well as the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the populated areas in Gaza and the return of Palestinian civilians to their homes and neighbourhoods in all areas of Gaza, including in the north.

During the second phase, there would be “upon agreement of the parties, a permanent end to hostilities, in exchange for the release of all other hostages still in Gaza, and a full withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza.”

Phase 3, according to the resolution, would see “the start of a major multi-year reconstruction plan for Gaza and the return of the remains of any deceased hostages still in Gaza to their families.”

The negotiations in the course of the first phase may allow the Zionist state to reject the second phase and renew the war after it got a large number of Zionist captives in Gaza. In this phase, the opposition to the continuation of the war should apply maximum pressure on Israel not to restart the war.

The worst part of this resolution is its real aim, an "unwavering commitment to the vision of the two-state solution where two democratic States, Israel and Palestine, live side by side in peace within secure and recognized borders, consistent with international law and relevant UN resolutions, and in this regard stresses the importance of unifying the Gaza Strip with the West Bank under the Palestinian Authority.”

This would mean to impose the corrupted PA of Abbas – who are servants of the Zionist state and the U.S. – on the Palestinian people. Having said this, it is also clear that a two-state solution is a rather long-term danger since currently Israel would never accept such an agreement.

We do not know, of course, whether Hamas will be able to resist the pressure to accept an implementation of this resolution which would serve the imperialist control of the region and save Israel from itself. Likewise, it remains to be seen how much of such a resolution can be implemented or if another war (e.g. in the North against Hezbollah) will disrupt Washington’s plans. In fact, there is a realistic possibility that Netanyahu will torpedo the ceasefire by any means necessary since he is now even more dependent on the extreme right-winger parties in his government after Gantz left the coalition.

So far, the Palestinian resistance has withstood the pressure, but who knows after eight months of massacres by the Zionists – backed by the Western imperialists. At the time of writing, Hamas has just announced that they basically agree with the UNSC resolution and want to enter indirect negotiations over the implementation of the principles of the agreement.

It will depend on the concrete negotiations what will be the exact terms of such a ceasefire. In any case, we will not blame Hamas for any concessions to the Zionist state but the imperialists and the local Arab rulers who sat on their hands instead of joining the war on the side of the Palestinians. We will also blame the reformists and liberals social democratic, Stalinist and left-populist parties, including the Stalinist Hadash in Israel.

The Revolutionary Communist International Tendency and the Internationalist Socialist League (RCIT Section in Israel/Occupied Palestine) reiterate their support for the liberation struggle of the Palestinian people. We support the end of the war as it will end the genocide and it will be a victory for the Palestinian resistance as it heroically withstood the fourth-largest army in the world.

We call the global pro-Palestine solidarity movement, trade unions and popular organizations to redouble their activities against the Israeli Apartheid and Terror state and to build pressure for a ceasefire deal which is most favourable for the Palestinians and most unfavourable for the Zionist Monster.

Les États-Unis, qui jusqu'à récemment rejetaient toute résolution du Conseil de sécurité des Nations unies (CSNU) appelant à la fin de la guerre, ont présenté une résolution qui, selon la Maison Blanche, mettra fin à la guerre. Cette résolution a été adoptée hier lors d'une réunion du CSNU. C'est à la fois une chance et un piège.

Le plan américain comporte trois phases. Au cours de la première phase, qui durerait six semaines, il y aurait un "cessez-le-feu immédiat, total et complet avec la libération des otages, y compris les femmes, les personnes âgées et les blessés, et la restitution des dépouilles de certains otages qui ont été tués". Il y aurait un échange de prisonniers palestiniens détenus dans les prisons israéliennes, ainsi que le retrait des forces israéliennes des zones peuplées de Gaza et le retour des civils palestiniens dans leurs maisons et quartiers dans toutes les zones de Gaza, y compris le nord.

Au cours de la deuxième phase, il y aurait "par accord entre les parties, une fin permanente des hostilités, en échange de la libération de tous les autres otages encore à Gaza et du retrait complet des forces israéliennes de Gaza".

La phase 3, selon la résolution, verrait "le lancement d'un vaste plan de reconstruction pluriannuel pour Gaza et le retour des dépouilles des otages décédés qui se trouvent encore à Gaza à leurs familles".

Les négociations de la première phase pourraient permettre à l'État sioniste de rejeter la deuxième phase et de reprendre la guerre après avoir récupéré un grand nombre de prisonniers sionistes à Gaza. Dans cette phase, l'opposition à la poursuite de la guerre doit exercer une pression maximale sur Israël pour qu'il ne reprenne pas la guerre.

Le pire dans cette résolution est son objectif même, à savoir un "engagement inébranlable en faveur de la solution des deux États dans laquelle deux États démocratiques, Israël et la Palestine, vivent côte à côte en paix à l'intérieur de frontières sûres et reconnues, conformément au droit international et aux résolutions pertinentes des Nations unies, et, à cet égard, souligne l'importance de l'unification de la bande de Gaza et de la Cisjordanie sous l'égide de l'Autorité palestinienne".

Cela reviendrait à imposer au peuple palestinien l'AP corrompue d'Abbas, qui est au service de l'État sioniste et des États-Unis. Cela dit, il est également clair qu'une solution à deux États est un danger à long terme, car Israël n'accepterait jamais un tel accord aujourd'hui.

Nous ne savons pas, bien sûr, si le Hamas sera capable de résister à la pression pour accepter la mise en œuvre de cette résolution, qui servirait le contrôle impérialiste de la région et sauverait Israël de lui-même. De même, il reste à voir dans quelle mesure cette résolution pourra être mise en œuvre ou si une autre guerre (par exemple, dans le nord contre le Hezbollah) entravera les plans de Washington. En fait, il existe une possibilité réaliste que Netanyahou boycotte le cessez-le-feu par tous les moyens nécessaires, puisqu'il est maintenant encore plus dépendant des partis d'extrême droite dans son gouvernement après que Gantz a quitté la coalition.

Nous blâmerons également les réformistes et les libéraux, les partis sociaux-démocrates, staliniens et populistes de gauche, y compris le parti stalinien Hadash en Israël.

Le Courant Communiste Révolutionnaire International et la Ligue Socialiste Internationaliste (Section CCRI en Israël/Palestine occupée) réitèrent leur soutien à la lutte de libération du peuple palestinien. Os EUA, que até pouco tempo atrás rejeitavam qualquer resolução no Conselho de Segurança da ONU (CSNU) pedindo o fim da guerra, apresentaram uma resolução que, de acordo com a Casa Branca, acabará com a guerra. Essa resolução foi adotada em uma reunião do CSNU ontem. Tal fato é tanto uma chance quanto uma armadilha.

O plano americano tem três fases. Durante a primeira fase, que duraria seis semanas, haveria um "cessar-fogo imediato, total e completo com a libertação de reféns, incluindo mulheres, idosos e feridos, e a devolução dos restos mortais de alguns reféns que foram mortos". Haveria uma troca de prisioneiros palestinos mantidos em prisões israelenses, bem como a retirada das forças israelenses das áreas povoadas de Gaza e o retorno dos civis palestinos às suas casas e bairros em todas as áreas de Gaza, inclusive ao norte.

Durante a segunda fase, haveria "mediante acordo entre as partes, um fim permanente das hostilidades, em troca da libertação de todos os outros reféns ainda em Gaza e da retirada total das forças israelenses de Gaza".

A Fase 3, de acordo com a resolução, veria "o início de um grande plano de reconstrução plurianual para Gaza e o retorno dos restos mortais de quaisquer reféns falecidos ainda em Gaza para suas famílias".

As negociações no decorrer da primeira fase podem permitir que o Estado sionista rejeite a segunda fase e renove a guerra depois de obter de volta um grande número de prisioneiros sionistas em Gaza. Nessa fase, a oposição à continuação da guerra deve exercer pressão máxima sobre Israel para que não reinicie a guerra.

A pior parte dessa resolução é o seu objetivo real, um "compromisso inabalável com a visão da solução de dois Estados em que dois Estados democráticos, Israel e Palestina, vivam lado a lado em paz dentro de fronteiras seguras e reconhecidas, de acordo com o direito internacional e as resoluções relevantes da ONU, e, nesse sentido, enfatiza a importância de unificar a Faixa de Gaza com a Cisjordânia sob a Autoridade Palestina".

Isso significaria impor ao povo palestino a AP corrupta de Abbas, que é servidora do Estado sionista e dos EUA. Dito isso, também está claro que uma solução de dois Estados é um perigo de longo prazo, pois atualmente Israel nunca aceitaria tal acordo.

Não sabemos, é claro, se o Hamas será capaz de resistir à pressão para aceitar a implementação dessa resolução, que serviria ao controle imperialista da região e salvaria Israel de si mesmo. Da mesma forma, ainda não se sabe quanto dessa resolução poderá ser implementada ou se outra guerra (por exemplo, no Norte contra o Hezbollah) atrapalhará os planos de Washington. Na verdade, existe uma possibilidade realista de que Netanyahu boicote o cessar-fogo por qualquer meio necessário, já que agora ele está ainda mais dependente dos partidos de extrema direita em seu governo depois que Gantz deixou a coalizão.

Até o momento, a resistência palestina tem resistido à pressão, mas como saber depois de oito meses de massacres pelos sionistas - apoiados pelos imperialistas ocidentais. No momento em que escrevo, o Hamas acaba de anunciar que basicamente concorda com a resolução do Conselho de Segurança da ONU e quer entrar em negociações indiretas sobre a implementação dos princípios do acordo.

Dependerá das negociações concretas quais serão os termos exatos desse cessar-fogo. De qualquer forma, não culparemos o Hamas por quaisquer concessões ao Estado sionista, mas sim os imperialistas e os governantes árabes locais que ficaram de braços cruzados em vez de entrar na guerra ao lado dos palestinos. Também culparemos os reformistas e liberais, os partidos social-democratas, estalinistas e populistas de esquerda, inclusive o estalinista Hadash em Israel.

A Corrente Comunista Revolucionária Internacional e a Liga Socialista Internacionalista (Seção da CCRI em Israel/Palestina Ocupada) reiteram seu apoio à luta de libertação do povo palestino. Apoiamos o fim da guerra, pois isso acabará com o genocídio e será uma vitória para a resistência palestina, pois ela resistiu heroicamente ao quarto maior exército do mundo.

Gli Stati Uniti, che fino a poco tempo fa rifiutavano qualsiasi risoluzione del Consiglio di Sicurezza delle Nazioni Unite (UNSC) che chiedesse la fine della guerra, hanno presentato una risoluzione che, secondo la Casa Bianca, porrà fine alla guerra. Questa risoluzione è stata adottata ieri in una riunione del Consiglio di Sicurezza delle Nazioni Unite. Si tratta di un'opportunità e di una trappola.

Il piano americano prevede tre fasi. Durante la prima fase, che durerebbe sei settimane, ci sarebbe un "cessate il fuoco immediato, totale e completo con il rilascio degli ostaggi, comprese le donne, gli anziani e i feriti, e la restituzione dei resti di alcuni ostaggi uccisi". Detto questo, è anche chiaro che una soluzione a due Stati è un pericolo a lungo termine, poiché Israele non accetterebbe mai un accordo del genere oggi.

Non sappiamo, ovviamente, se Hamas sarà in grado di resistere alle pressioni per accettare l'attuazione di questa risoluzione, che servirebbe al controllo imperialista della regione e a salvare Israele da se stesso. Allo stesso modo, resta da vedere quanto di questa risoluzione possa essere attuata o se un'altra guerra (ad esempio, nel nord contro Hezbollah) intralcerà i piani di Washington. In realtà, esiste la possibilità realistica che Netanyahu boicotti il cessate il fuoco con ogni mezzo necessario, dal momento che ora dipende ancora di più dai partiti di estrema destra del suo governo dopo che Gantz ha lasciato la coalizione.

Finora la resistenza palestinese ha resistito alle pressioni, ma come facciamo a saperlo dopo otto mesi di massacri perpetrati dai sionisti – sostenuti dagli imperialisti occidentali. Al momento in cui scriviamo, Hamas ha appena annunciato di essere sostanzialmente d'accordo con la risoluzione del Consiglio di Sicurezza delle Nazioni Unite e di voler avviare negoziati indiretti sull'attuazione dei principi dell'accordo.

Dipenderà dai negoziati concreti quali saranno i termini esatti di questo cessate il fuoco. In ogni caso, non incolperemo Hamas per eventuali concessioni allo Stato sionista, ma piuttosto gli imperialisti e i governanti arabi locali che sono rimasti inerti invece di entrare in guerra al fianco dei palestinesi. Incolperemo anche i riformisti e i liberali, i partiti socialdemocratici, stalinisti e populisti di sinistra, compreso lo stalinista Hadash in Israele.

La Tendenza Comunista Rivoluzionaria Internazionale e la Lega Socialista Internazionalista (Sezione della TCRI in Israele/Palestina Occupata) ribadiscono il loro sostegno alla lotta di liberazione del popolo palestinese. Sosteniamo la fine della guerra, che porrà fine al genocidio e sarà una vittoria per la resistenza palestinese, che ha resistito eroicamente al quarto esercito più grande del mondo.

Invitiamo il movimento di solidarietà globale pro-palestinese, i sindacati e le organizzazioni di base a raddoppiare le loro attività contro lo stato israeliano di apartheid e terrore e a premere per un accordo di cessate il fuoco che sia il più favorevole per i palestinesi e il più sfavorevole per il mostro sionista.
