According to a recently published report by Middle East Eye, the European Union plans to deepen its strategic cooperation with Egypt’s dictatorship led by General Sisi. “The European Union is planning a joint bid with Egypt for the leadership of an influential international organisation shaping global counter-terrorism policies. Officials in Brussels last week approved the EU-Egypt bid to co-chair the Global Counterterrorism Forum, despite widely documented evidence of human rights abuses and the use of counter-terrorism powers in the country since President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi seized power in 2013. The bid was proposed by France, which currently heads the EU Council’s rotating presidency, on 11 January.” [1]

 

The Global Counterterrorism Forum (GCTF) was established in New York in September 2011. As MEE writes, “it has played an influential role in shaping the direction and development of counter-terrorism and counter-extremism strategies around the world over the past decade. (…) It works closely with the UN to promote the global body’s own counter-terrorism strategy.” Its 30 members also include, among others, such authoritarian regimes or outright dictatorships like Russia, China, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.

 

 

 

A mockery by any meaningful standards

 

 

 

The joint bid of the EU and General Sisi’s regime is a mockery by any meaningful standards. Since the military coup in July 2013, Egypt has become one of the worst dictatorships in the Arab world. It has killed thousands of oppositional activists – most famously the Rabaa massacre on the 14 August when up to 2,600 people were slaughtered on a single day. [2] It currently keeps more than 70,000 people in prison for political reasons – including for such “crimes” as putting a critical comment against the regime on Facebook! [3]

 

Just two months ago, the French investigative website Disclose published a report which revealed – based on the evidence of hundreds of classified documents – the close cooperation between the French and the Egypt military in a covert mission codenamed Operation Sirli. In the context of this operation, General Sisi’s troops killed about 60,000 people (so-called “terrorists”, in fact mostly civilians) with the aid of French intelligence in Egypt’s western desert region since February 2016. [4]

 

It is telling that the Sisi regime considers each and every opposition as “terrorist” – among these forces like the Muslim Brotherhood – which played an instrumental role in the “Freedom and Justice Party”, a bourgeois Islamist party which won the first and only democratic elections after the victory of the revolution in January in 2011. Mohamed Morsi, the party’s leader and democratically elected President of Egypt until the military coup, was arrested under the charge of – you got it – “terrorism”. He died in prison in June 2019 after years of torture.

 

In other words, Sisi is the leader of a terrorist state – a criminal giant who makes Osama bin Laden look like an innocent schoolboy! Putting this man at the head of an institution “to fight terrorism” is like putting a drug dealer in charge of a school.

 

Ahmed Mefreh, an Egyptian human rights lawyer and director of the Geneva-based Committee for Justice, rightly pointed out that the proposed bid is an attempt by the EU “to help the Sisi regime in beautifying its image. (…) Nominating Egypt as a chair of any international counter-terrorism forum is a mockery of the human rights violations in Egypt committed under the guise of the war on terrorism.”

 

It is worth noting that all kind of political criminals and mercenaries supported the bloody military coup of General Sisi in 2013. The long list of his backers begins with U.S. imperialism, Israel, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. It also includes the “Islamists” of the treacherous al‑Nour Party. And, last but not least, a number of so-called “Marxists” organizations did also hail the military coup as a “Second Revolution” – among them the “Communist” Party of Egypt and self-proclaimed “Trotskyists” like Alan Woods’ IMT or the LIT-CI. [5]

 

 

 

“European Values” – well, whose “values”?

 

 

 

It is particularly revealing that the EU justifies its cynical joint bid with Sisi in an internal memorandum by referring to the so-called “European values”. MEE reports: “According to an EU Council memo dated 11 January and published by Statewatch, the proposed joint bid was first raised by members of the EU’s diplomatic service, the European External Action Service (EEAS), at meetings of an EU working party on terrorism in October and November. “As co-chair of the GCTF, the EU can help shape the agenda of international counter-terrorism policy and practice and promote EU values in the field of counter-terrorism,” the memo said. It said Egypt had expressed interest in a joint bid and was “a long-time partner of the EU and co-chair of the GCTF working group on capacity building in East Africa”.”

 

Mark these words that this joint bid with General Sisi can “promote EU values in the field of counter-terrorism”. What is this? A joke? Or a mockery of public opinion?

 

True, some people in Europe as well as globally still have the illusion that the European Union would be something like a last “oasis of democracy”. However, as the RCIT has explained many times, this is a myth which the EU leaders like to tell the public. In fact, the EU is an imperialist alliance of states which have become rich and wealthy by super-exploiting the countries of the so-called Third World. It allows itself some democratic liberties within its fortification wall but combines this with:

 

a) super-exploiting a large pariah layer of migrants working as cheap labor force,

 

b) keeping millions of poor people outside of its walls,

 

c) and collaborating closely with dictators all over the world. Sisi is just one of the EU’s hangmen.

 

We shall add that these “European values” also include – as France’s President Emmanuel Macron as well as Austrian’ conservative-led government have pointed out repeatedly – the “war on political Islam”. This “war” is, in effect, a policy of oppression of the Muslim migrant minority in Europe, including the banning of many Muslim associations, the closure of many mosques, the advocacy of the racist Islamophobic cartoons of Charlie Hebdo, etc. [6]

 

In other words, the EU is like a mafia boss who can be charming and never kills someone himself but leaves the dirty work to his mobsters. The misnamed “European values” are, in fact, hypocritical values of European imperialism – and not the values of authentic defenders of freedom and justice!

 

As a matter of fact, the joint bid of the EU and General Sisi’s regime to lead the Global Counterterrorism Forum is just the latest example of the close collaboration of European imperialism with Egypt’s military dictatorship. Make no mistake, this is an alliance of robbers and killers! Some years ago, we pointed out:

 

“This alliance of the EU and Egypt’s dictator is based on substantial joint interests. The Great Powers feared the Arab Revolution from the first days of its beginning in January 2011. They need “stability” in the region in order to exploit its abundantly resources as well as to control key strategic transport routes for capitalist world trade (like the Suez Canal in the case of Egypt). Furthermore, the European imperialists need the Arab dictatorships in order to stop African and Arab migrants from fleeing their countries which are suffering from wars and misery. Before 2011, the imperialists didn’t have to worry. Gaddafi, Mubarak, Assad and others made sure that very few migrants were able to reach Europe. For their service, these dictators were, of course, rewarded with substantial payments from European governments (as they are planning now to do again). However, this system collapsed when the people began to bring down these dictatorships by their revolutionary uprisings. In return, the Arab dictators receive substantial financial assistance, foreign investments, weapons, etc. In short, the European corporations and governments as well as the Arab dictators need each other and support each other. It is an alliance of robbers and killers!” [7]

 

These words are even more true today!

 

 

EU와 이집트 엘시시 장군이 공동으로 “테러”와의 싸움을 한답니다!

중동 매체 미들이스트아이(MEE)가 최근 보도한 내용에 따르면, EU(유럽연합)는 이집트 엘시시 군사독재와의 전략적 협력을 심화시킬 계획이다. “유럽연합은 이집트와 세계 대테러 정책을 수립하는 영향력 있는 국제기구의 공동 유치를 계획하고 있다. 지난주 EU 관리들은 EU-이집트가 세계 대테러 포럼의 공동 의장직을 맡는 것을 승인했다. 2013년 엘시시 대통령이 권력을 잡은 이후 이집트에서 인권 유린과 대테러 권력 남용에 대한 광범위한 증거에도 불구하고 말이다. 이 유치안은 현재 EU 이사회의 순환 의장직을 맡고 있는 프랑스가 1월 11일에 제안한 것이다.”[1]

 

세계 대테러 포럼 (GCTF)은 2011년 9월 뉴욕에서 설립되었다. 미들이스트아이는 다음과 같이 보도한다. “세계 대테러 포럼은 지난 10년 동안 전 세계의 대테러 및 대극단주의 전략의 방향과 발전에 영향력 있는 역할을 해왔다.... 포럼은 유엔과 긴밀히 협력하여 국제기구의 자체 대테러 전략을 추진한다.” 포럼에 가입해 있는 30개 회원국에는 러시아, 중국, 사우디, 아랍에미리트와 같은 권위주의 정권이나 노골적인 독재정권들도 포함되어 있다.

 

 

 

어떤 기준으로 봐도 조롱인

 

EU와 엘시시 군사독재의 공동 유치는 어떤 의미 있는 기준으로 보아도 능멸이고 조롱이다. 2013년 7월 군사쿠데타 이후 이집트는 아랍 세계에서 최악의 독재체제 중 하나가 되었다. 엘시시 군사독재는 수천 명의 반정부 활동가들을 살해했다. 8월 14일 하루에 2,600명이 살육 당한 라바 학살 사건도 그 중 하나다.[2] 엘시시 정권에 의해 현재 7만 여명이 정치적 이유로 감옥에 갇혀 있는데, 그 중에는 페이스북에 정권에 대한 비판적인 댓글을 단 "범죄"도 포함되어 있다.[3]

 

불과 두 달 전, 프랑스 탐사 웹사이트 <폭로>는 수백 개 기밀문서들을 증거로 하여, 프랑스와 이집트 군부가 시를리 작전이라는 암호명으로 비밀 임무를 수행하는 등, 긴밀한 협력 관계를 폭로하는 보도를 냈다. 이 작전 과정에서 엘시시 장군의 부대는 2016년 2월부터 이집트 서부 사막 지역에서 프랑스 정보기관의 도움으로 약 6만 명 (소위 “테러범”, 실제로는 대부분 민간인)을 사살했다.[4]

 

엘시시 정권은 반정부 세력 일체를 “테러 집단”으로 몰아 섬멸 작전을 폈는데, 이 중에는 2011년 1월 이집트 혁명 승리 이후, 처음이자 유일한 민주적 선거에서 승리한 부르주아 이슬람주의 정당 '자유와 정의당'의 주요 세력인 무슬림형제단도 포함되었다. 이 당의 리더이자 민주적 선거로 당선되어 군부쿠데타 전까지 이집트 대통령이었던 무함마드 무르시는 "테러" 수괴 혐의로 쿠데타 군부에 의해 체포되었다. 그는 수년간의 고문 끝에 2019년 6월 감옥에서 사망했다.

 

한 마디로 엘시시는 그 자신이 테러 국가의 수괴다. 엘시시 옆에 서면 오사마 빈라덴은 미성년자 초등학생으로 보일 지경이다! “테러와 싸우기 위해” 이 자를 기구의 수장으로 앉히는 것은 마약상을 학교 교장으로 앉히는 것과 같다.

 

이집트 인권변호사이자, 제네바에 본부를 둔 정의위원회 위원장 아흐메드 메프레흐는 EU가 제안한 유치안은 "엘시시 정권의 이미지 미화를 돕기 위한 시도"라고 지적했다. “이집트를 국제 대테러 포럼의 의장국으로 지명하는 것은 테러와의 전쟁을 빙자하여 자행된 이집트의 인권 침해 사건들에 대한 조롱이다."

 

온갖 정치깡패들과 용병들이 2013년 엘시시 장군의 유혈 군사쿠데타를 지지했다는 점을 주목할 필요가 있다. 이들 엘시시 후원자 명단을 보면 그 첫 줄에 미 제국주의와 이스라엘, 사우디아라비아, 아랍에미리트로 시작한다. 여기에는 겉 다르고 속 다른 알노르 당의 "이슬람주의자"들도 포함되어 있다. 그리고 마지막으로, 소위 “맑스주의” 조직들도 엘시시 군사쿠데타를 "제2혁명"이라고 환호하며 맞이했는데, 그 중에는 이집트공산당과 알란 우즈의 IMT나 LIT-CI와 같은 자칭 "트로츠키주의자"들도 있었다.[5]

 

 

 

“유럽적 가치” - 음, 누구의 “가치”?

 

EU가 내부 비망록에서 이른바 “유럽적 가치”를 언급하며 엘시시와의 이 양두구육의 공동 유치를 정당화하고 있는 것을 보면 그 역겨운 위선이 적나라하게 드러난다. 미들이스트아이는 다음과 같이 보도한다. “민권단체 스테이트워치가 공개한 1월 11일자 EU 이사회 메모에 따르면, 공동유치안은 10월과 11월 EU 테러 관련 특별조사위원회 회의에서 EU 대외관계청(EEAS) 회원국들이 처음 제기했다. 메모에는 ‘EU는 세계 대테러 포럼의 공동 의장국으로서 국제 대테러 정책의 의제를 구체화하고 대테러 분야에서 EU 가치를 실천하고 증진하는 데 도움을 줄 수 있다’고 적혀 있다. 메모는 또 공동 유치에 관심을 표명한 이집트는 ‘EU의 오랜 파트너이자 동아프리카 역량 강화 관련 세계 대테러 포럼 워킹그룹의 공동 의장’이라고 밝혔다.”

 

이 엘시시와의 공동유치안이 "대테러 분야에서 EU의 가치를 증진시킬“ 수 있다는 구절에 특히 눈길이 간다. 이건 뭐지? 농담? 아니면 여론에 대한 조롱인가?

 

유럽 내에서뿐만 아니라 세계적으로도 유럽연합이 마지막 “민주주의 오아시스” 같은 것이라는 환상을 여전히 갖고 있는 사람들이 있다. 그러나 (RCIT가 여러 번 설명했듯이) 그건 EU 우두머리들이 사람들에게 알리고 싶은 신화다. 실제로는, EU는 소위 제3세계 나라들을 초과착취 하는 것으로 부유해지고 잘살게 된 국가들의 제국주의 동맹이다. EU는 그 요새 내에서 얼마간의 민주적 자유를 허용하지만, 이것을 다음과 같은 조건들과 결합시킨다.

 

a) 사회적 천민 지위를 강요받고 값싼 노동인력으로 일하는 대규모의 이주민·이민자 층에 대한 초과착취

 

b) 수백만 명의 가난한 사람들을 요새 성채 바깥에 두기

 

c) 전 세계 독재자들과 긴밀히 협력하기. 엘시시는 이런 EU 교수형집행인 중 하나일 뿐.

 

이 “유럽적 가치”에는 또 ㅡ 프랑스 마크롱 정부와 오스트리아 보수당 주도 정부가 반복해서 밝혔듯이 ㅡ “정치적 이슬람과의 전쟁”도 포함된다는 점을 덧붙여야 할 것이다. 이 “전쟁”은 실제로는 유럽의 무슬림 이주민 소수자에 대한 억압 정책으로, 여기에는 많은 무슬림 협회 금지, 모스크 사원 폐쇄, 샤를리 에브도의 인종주의적 이슬람 혐오 만화에 대한 옹호 등이 포함된다.[6]

 

달리 말하면, EU는 절대 손수 죽이지 않고 더러운 일을 조폭 부하들에게 맡기는, 그 자신은 멋져 보일 수 있는 마피아 보스와 같다. 잘못 명명된 이 "유럽적 가치"는 실은 유럽 제국주의의 위선적인 가치들이지 자유와 정의의 진정한 수호자들의 가치가 아니다!

 

실제로 EU와 엘시시 정권이 세계 대테러 포럼을 이끌겠다는 공동유치안은 유럽 제국주의와 이집트 군사독재가 긴밀하게 협력해 온 가장 최근의 예일 뿐이다. 착각은 금물. 이것은 강도들과 살인자들의 동맹이다! 몇 년 전, 우리가 다음과 같이 지적했듯이,

 

"EU와 이집트 독재자의 이 동맹은 실질적인 공동 이익에 기반을 두고 있다. 강대국들은 2011년 1월 아랍혁명 시작 첫날부터 이 혁명을 두려워했다. 강대국들은 이 지역의 풍부한 자원을 수탈하고 자본주의 세계무역의 핵심 전략 교통로 (이집트의 경우, 수에즈 운하 같은)를 장악하기 위해 이 지역에서 ‘안정’이 필요하다. 나아가 유럽 제국주의자들은 아프리카와 아랍 이주민들이 전쟁과 참화를 피해 자국을 탈출하는 것을 막기 위해 아랍 독재정권들이 필요하다. 2011년 이전에는 제국주의자들은 걱정할 필요가 없었다. 카다피, 무바라크, 아사드 등이 유럽에 들어오는 이주민을 아주 극소수로 제한되도록 잘 막아주었다. 물론 이들 독재자들은 그 ‘공로’로 유럽 정부들로부터 상당한 보상을 받았다. 아랍 독재자들은 상당한 재정 지원과 외국인 투자, 무기 등을 받았다. 그러나 이 공조체제는 민중이 혁명적 봉기로 이들 독재정권을 무너뜨리기 시작하면서 붕괴됐다. 요컨대, 유럽 기업 및 정부와 아랍 독재자들은 서로를 필요로 하고 서로를 지지한다. 그것은 강도들과 살인범들의 동맹이다!"[7]

 

오늘 이 말들은 더더욱 들어맞는다!

De acordo com um relatório recentemente publicado pela Middle East Eye-MEE, a União Europeia planeja aprofundar sua cooperação estratégica com a ditadura do Egito, liderada pelo General Sisi. "A União Européia está planejando uma proposta conjunta com o Egito para a liderança de uma organização internacional influente que dará forma a políticas globais de combate ao terrorismo". Oficiais em Bruxelas na semana passada aprovaram uma resolução UE-Egito para copresidirem o Fórum Global de Combate ao Terrorismo, apesar das provas amplamente documentadas de abusos dos direitos humanos e do uso forças antiterroristas no país desde que o Presidente Abdel Fattah el-Sisi tomou o poder em 2013. A oferta foi proposta pela França, que atualmente lidera a presidência rotativa do Conselho da UE, em 11 de janeiro.” [1]

 

O Global Counterterrorism Forum (GCTF) foi estabelecido em Nova Iorque em setembro de 2011. Como escreve o MEE, "ele tem desempenhado um papel influente na direção e desenvolvimento de estratégias de combate ao terrorismo e contra-extremismo em todo o mundo durante a última década". (...) Trabalha em estreita colaboração com a ONU para promover a estratégia antiterrorista do próprio organismo global.” Seus 30 membros também incluem, entre outros, tais regimes ditatoriais ou autoritários como a Rússia, China, Arábia Saudita e os Emirados Árabes Unidos.

 

 

 

Um escárnio por qualquer padrão significativo

 

 

 

A proposta conjunta da UE e do regime do General Sisi é um escárnio por quaisquer padrões significativos. Desde o golpe militar em julho de 2013, o Egito se tornou uma das piores ditaduras do mundo árabe. Matou milhares de ativistas da oposição - o mais famosai0 foi o massacre de Rabaa em 14 de agosto, quando até 2.600 pessoas foram massacradas em um único dia. [2] Atualmente mantém mais de 70.000 pessoas na prisão por razões políticas - inclusive por "crimes" tais como colocar um comentário crítico contra o regime no Facebook! [3]

 

Apenas dois meses atrás, o site de investigação francês Disclose publicou um relatório que revelou - com base nas evidências de centenas de documentos classificados - a estreita cooperação entre os militares franceses e egípcios em uma missão secreta com o nome de código Operação Sirli. No contexto desta operação, as tropas do general Sisi mataram cerca de 60.000 pessoas (os chamados "terroristas", na verdade na maioria civis) com a ajuda da inteligência francesa na região do deserto ocidental do Egito desde fevereiro de 2016. [4]

 

É revelador que o regime de Sisi considere toda e qualquer oposição como "terrorista" - entre estas forças como a Irmandade Muçulmana - que desempenhou um papel significativo no "Partido Liberdade e Justiça", um partido islâmico burguês que venceu as primeiras e únicas eleições democráticas após a vitória da revolução em janeiro de 2011. Mohamed Morsi, líder do partido e democraticamente eleito Presidente do Egito até o golpe militar, foi preso sob a acusação de - você percebeu- "terrorismo". Morsi morreu na prisão em junho de 2019, após anos de tortura.

 

Em outras palavras, Sisi é o líder de um estado terrorista - um gigante criminoso que faz Osama bin Laden parecer aquele garoto mal-educado na escola! Colocar este homem à frente de uma instituição "para combater o terrorismo" é como colocar um traficante de drogas no comando de uma escola.

 

Ahmed Mefreh, advogado egípcio de direitos humanos e diretor do Comitê de Justiça de Genebra, apontou com razão que a proposta é uma tentativa da UE "de ajudar o regime de Sisi a melhorar sua imagem". (...) A nomeação do Egito como presidente de qualquer fórum internacional contra o terrorismo é uma zombaria das violações dos direitos humanos no Egito cometidas sob o pretexto da guerra contra o terrorismo.”

 

Vale notar que todos os tipos de criminosos políticos e mercenários apoiaram o sangrento golpe militar do general Sisi em 2013. A longa lista de seus apoiadores começa com o imperialismo dos EUA, Israel, Arábia Saudita e os Emirados Árabes Unidos. Também inclui os "islamistas" do traiçoeiro al-Nour Party. E, por último, mas não menos importante, várias organizações chamadas "marxistas" também saudaram o golpe militar como uma "Segunda Revolução" - entre elas o Partido "comunista" do Egito e os autoproclamados "trotskistas" como o TMI de Alan Woods e   LIT-QI. "Valores europeus" - mas, de quem são tais "valores"?

 

 

 

É particularmente revelador que a UE justifique sua cínica proposta conjunta com Sisi em um memorando interno, referindo-se aos chamados "valores europeus". a MEE informa: "De acordo com um memorando do Conselho da UE datado de 11 de janeiro e publicado pela Statewatch, a proposta conjunta foi apresentada pela primeira vez por membros do serviço diplomático da UE, o Serviço Europeu de Ação Externa (SEAE), em reuniões de um grupo de trabalho da UE sobre terrorismo em outubro e novembro. "Como co-presidente do GCTF, a UE pode ajudar a moldar a agenda da política e prática internacional de combate ao terrorismo e promover os valores da UE no campo da luta contra o terrorismo", disse o memorando. Ele disse que o Egito havia manifestado interesse em uma proposta conjunta e era "um parceiro de longa data da UE e co-presidente do grupo de trabalho da GCTF sobre o desenvolvimento de capacidades na África Oriental".

 

Marque estas palavras que esta proposta conjunta com o General Sisi pode "promover os valores da UE no campo do contra-terrorismo". O que é isto? Uma piada? Ou um escárnio diante da opinião pública?

 

É verdade que algumas pessoas na Europa, bem como globalmente, ainda têm a ilusão de que a União Européia seria algo como um último "oásis da democracia". Entretanto, como a CCRI explicou muitas vezes, este é um mito que os líderes da UE gostam de contar ao público. Na verdade, a UE é uma aliança imperialista de Estados que se tornaram EXTREMAMENTE ricos ao super-explorar os países do chamado Terceiro Mundo. A UE se permite algumas liberdades democráticas dentro de seu muro de fortificação, mas combina isso com:

 

a) super-explorando uma grande camada de migrantes que, como párias, trabalham como mão-de-obra barata,

 

b) manter milhões de pessoas pobres fora de suas fronteiras,

 

c) colaborando estreitamente com ditadores em todo o mundo. Sisi é apenas um dos carrascos da UE.

 

Acrescentaremos que estes "valores europeus" também incluem - como o Presidente francês Emmanuel Macron, bem como o governo conservador austríaco tem apontado repetidamente - a "guerra ao islamismo político". Esta "guerra" é, com efeito, uma política de opressão contra a minoria migrante muçulmana na Europa, incluindo a proibição de muitas associações muçulmanas, o fechamento de muitas mesquitas, a defesa das charges islamofóbicas e racistas da revista Charlie Hebdo, etc. [6]

 

Em outras palavras, a UE é como um chefe mafioso que pode ser encantador e nunca mata alguém sozinho, mas deixa o trabalho sujo para seus mafiosos. Os mal chamados "valores europeus" são, na verdade, valores hipócritas do imperialismo europeu - e não os valores dos autênticos defensores da liberdade e da justiça!

 

De fato, a proposta conjunta da UE e do regime do General Sisi para liderar o Fórum Global de Contraterrorismo é apenas o mais recente exemplo da estreita colaboração do imperialismo europeu com a ditadura militar do Egito. Não se enganem, esta é uma aliança de assaltantes e assassinos! Há alguns anos atrás, nós apontamos:

 

"Esta aliança da UE e do ditador egípcio baseia-se em interesses conjuntos substanciais. As Grandes Potências temiam a Revolução Árabe desde os primeiros dias de seu início, em janeiro de 2011. Elas precisam de "estabilidade" na região a fim de explorar seus abundantes recursos, bem como para controlar as principais rotas estratégicas de transporte para o comércio mundial capitalista (como o Canal de Suez, no caso do Egito). Além disso, os imperialistas europeus precisam das ditaduras árabes para impedir que os migrantes africanos e árabes saiam de seus países que sofrem com as guerras e a miséria. Antes de 2011, os imperialistas não precisavam se preocupar. Gaddafi, Mubarak, Assad e outros garantiram que muito poucos migrantes conseguissem chegar à Europa. Por seu serviço, estes ditadores foram, é claro, recompensados com pagamentos substanciais dos governos europeus (como planejam fazer agora novamente). Entretanto, este sistema entrou em colapso quando o povo começou a derrubar estas ditaduras por suas revoltas revolucionárias. Em troca, os ditadores árabes recebem assistência financeira substancial, investimentos estrangeiros, armas, etc. Em resumo, as corporações e governos europeus, bem como os ditadores árabes, precisam uns dos outros e se apoiam mutuamente. É uma aliança de assaltantes e assassinos!” [7]

 

Estas palavras são ainda mais verdadeiras hoje!
