Día de la Nakba 2024: ¡La lucha continúa hasta que toda Palestina sea libre!

The Nakba Day on 15 May commemorates the killing of at least 15,000 Palestinians in numerous massacres, the destruction of 500 villages and the traumatic expulsion of up to a million people from their homes by Zionist militias in 1948. The Nakba was the basis for the creation of the racist settler state Israel on 78% of the territory of former Mandatory Palestine. During the war in 1967, Israel again expelled more than 300,000 Palestinians.

Repeated Zionist wars in the past three-quarter of century and, most importantly, the ongoing genocide against the Palestinians in Gaza demonstrate that Israel is, by its very nature, an oppressor state. As long as this state continues to exist, there will be Apartheid, war and ethnic cleansing.

The Revolutionary Communist International Tendency (RCIT) and its section in Israel/Occupied Palestine – the Internationalist Socialist League – send their warmest greetings to the Palestinian people as well as to the global solidarity movement which has risen up in order to stop the Zionist monster!

We stand in solidarity with the Palestinian resistance forces which are heroically defending their homeland against the Israeli army. We condemn the treacherous Palestinian Authority of Mahmoud Abbas – a servile lackey of the Zionist occupation. We also warn against any illusions in a so-called “Two-State Solution” which would be no solution at all. Such an Oslo 2.0 could not but result in the creation of small, disarmed and impoverished enclaves – surrounded and threatened by the Israeli army.

The only way forward is the revolutionary destruction of the Israeli Apartheid state and the creation of a free and red Palestine from the River to the Sea. Such a single secular and democratic Palestinian state would enable all refugees to return to their homes. At the same time, it would guarantee cultural and religious rights for the Jewish minority. It would be a workers and fellahin republic as part of a socialist federation of the Middle East.

The liberation of Palestine is inextricably linked with the fate of the Arab Revolution. Israel has historically been the most important pillar of Western imperialist control of the Middle East. However, the Great Powers of West and East could not dominate the region without the dictators and monarchs who brutally oppress their peoples – in Saudi Arabia, the Emirates, Morocco, Jordan, Syria, Iran, etc. Hence, the strategy of the liberation struggle must not be national-isolated, must not look for strategic alliances with this or that regime (as the leadership of Hamas has done with Assad, Erdoğan, Iran, Qatar, etc.) It must have rather an internationalist perspective and orientate to the mass struggle in the Middle East and beyond.

The key to liberation is the independent mobilisation of the working class and the popular masses. When the Arab workers and oppressed rise up, organise themselves in popular councils, arm themselves and overthrow the corrupted rulers, they will shatter the Middle East with an anti-Zionist and anti-imperialist tornado which will sweep away the Israeli Apartheid state and open the road to the liberation of Jerusalem! As part of such a revolutionary upheaval of the Arab masses, it will be possible to break a progressive section of the Israeli-Jewish workers and youth away from Zionism.

The struggle for liberation can only succeed under a revolutionary leadership fighting for the program of a working-class-led permanent revolution which combines the democratic and as well as the socialist tasks. It would aim at the closure of all imperialist military bases including those of the U.S., UK, France as well as Russia. It would expropriate the foreign monopolies as well as the big domestic capitalists.

The RCIT calls all socialists to join us in building a Revolutionary World Party committed to the cause of the liberation of the Palestinian peoples and all other oppressed peoples!

El Día de la Nakba, el 15 de mayo, conmemora la matanza de al menos 15.000 palestinos en numerosas masacres, la destrucción de 500 aldeas y la traumática expulsión de hasta un millón de personas de sus hogares por las milicias sionistas en 1948. La Nakba fue la base para la creación del Estado colono racista de Israel en el 78% del territorio de la antigua Palestina del Mandato. Durante la guerra de 1967, Israel volvió a expulsar a más de 300.000 palestinos.

Las repetidas guerras sionistas en los últimos tres cuartos de siglo y, lo que es más importante, el genocidio en curso contra los palestinos en Gaza demuestra que Israel es, por su propia naturaleza, un Estado opresor. Mientras este Estado siga existiendo, habrá apartheid, guerra y limpieza étnica.

¡La Corriente Comunista Revolucionaria Internacional (CCRI) y su sección en Israel/Palestina Ocupada – la Liga Socialista Internacionalista – envían sus más cálidos saludos al pueblo palestino, así como al movimiento de solidaridad global que se ha levantado para detener al monstruo sionista!

Nos solidarizamos con las fuerzas de resistencia palestinas que defienden heroicamente su patria contra el ejército israelí. Condenamos a la traicionera Autoridad Palestina de Mahmoud Abbas, un servil lacayo de la ocupación sionista. También advertimos contra cualquier ilusión sobre la llamada “solución de dos Estados”, que no sería ninguna solución. Un Oslo 2.0 así no podría sino dar lugar a la creación de enclaves pequeños, desarmados y empobrecidos, rodeados y amenazados por el ejército israelí.

El único camino a seguir es la destrucción revolucionaria del Estado apartheid israelí y la creación de una Palestina libre y roja desde el río hasta el mar. Un Estado palestino único, laico y democrático permitiría a todos los refugiados regresar a sus hogares. Al mismo tiempo, garantizaría los derechos culturales y religiosos de la minoría judía. Sería una república de trabajadores y campesinos como parte de una federación socialista de Medio Oriente.

La liberación de Palestina está indisolublemente ligada al destino de la Revolución Árabe. Israel ha sido históricamente el pilar más importante del control imperialista occidental en Medio Oriente. Sin embargo, las grandes potencias de Occidente y Oriente no podrían dominar la región sin los dictadores y monarcas que oprimen brutalmente a sus pueblos (en Arabia Saudita, los Emiratos, Marruecos, Jordania, Siria, Irán, etc.). De ahí la estrategia de la lucha de liberación. No debe aislarse nacionalmente, no debe buscar alianzas estratégicas con tal o cual régimen (como lo ha hecho el liderazgo de Hamás con Assad, Erdoğan, Irán, Qatar, etc.). Debe tener más bien una perspectiva internacionalista y orientarse hacia las masas. lucha en el Medio Oriente y más allá.

La clave para la liberación es la movilización independiente de la clase trabajadora y las masas populares. Cuando los trabajadores y oprimidos árabes se levanten, se organicen en consejos populares, se armen y derroquen a los gobernantes corruptos, destrozarán el Medio Oriente con un tornado antisionista y antiimperialista que arrasará con el estado de apartheid israelí y abrirá el ¡Camino a la liberación de Jerusalén! Como parte de tal levantamiento revolucionario de las masas árabes, será posible separar del sionismo a un sector progresista de los trabajadores y jóvenes judíos israelíes.

La lucha por la liberación sólo puede tener éxito bajo una dirección revolucionaria que luche por el programa de una revolución permanente dirigida por la clase trabajadora que combine las tareas democráticas y socialistas. Su objetivo sería el cierre de todas las bases militares imperialistas, incluidas las de Estados Unidos, el Reino Unido, Francia y Rusia. Expropiaría tanto a los monopolios extranjeros como a los grandes capitalistas nacionales.
