Ismail Haniyeh - otro mártir del pueblo palestino asesinado por el sionismo

The cold-blooded killing of Ismail Haniyeh by the Zionist monster is a tragic event – not only for the Palestinian people but for all supporters of the liberation struggle. Haniyeh was the chairman of the Political Bureau of Hamas, the leading force within the Palestinian resistance. Furthermore, he was also the Palestinian Prime Minister after Hamas won the last parliamentary election in 2006.

Haniyeh was born in the al-Shati refugee camp in Gaza in 1963. He became a political activist from early on and joined Hamas when he was a university student. He was arrested various times and spent several years in prison. He become a close adviser of Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, a nearly blinded Imam on a wheelchair who was another Hamas leader assassinated by Israel. Later Haniyeh became the leader of Hamas as well as of the Palestinian authority in Gaza before he moved to Qatar in 2016 to become the head of the Hamas Political Bureau.

Since Israel follows the policy of kin liability – similar to Hitler and Stalin – it has systematically murdered relatives of Haniyeh. In October 2023, fourteen members of his family were killed in an Israeli airstrike on his family home in Gaza City, among them a brother and nephew. One month later, the Zionists murdered a granddaughter as well as his eldest grandson. In April this year, they killed three of his sons and three grandchildren and one month ago they slaughtered another ten members of his family, including his 80-year old sister.

Haniyeh knew that he was on Israel’s death list and that his life had an expiry date, rather sooner than later. Recently, he said: “We feel the weight of the trust and responsibility of the Palestinian cause, and this responsibility has its prices, and we are prepared for these prices; martyrdom for the sake of Palestine, for the sake of God Almighty, and for the sake of the dignity of this nation.”

We mourn the death of this heroic son of the Palestinian people. Of course, even in these difficult hours, we don’t deny that, as Marxists, we have deep political and ideological differences with Hamas which we consider as petty-bourgeois Islamist organisation. However, we have always recognised and respected their role in the liberation struggle of the Palestinian people.

The war between the Israeli Apartheid state and the Palestinian people is a war for liberation. It is a war between oppressor and oppressed. It is a war with a settler state which is built on the expulsion of the native population in 1948 (Nakba), permanent expansion of its territory though numerous wars against its neighbours and an ongoing genocide in Gaza where it has already murdered at least 40,000 people – mostly women, children and elder.

As a result of all this there exists a simple but significant moral contrast between Israel and the Palestinian resistance. The former is known for cold-blooded killings, terror against civilians and rape of prisoners. In contrast, the Palestinian resistance is full of such self-less militants who sacrifice their life for the sake of liberation.

Or compare Netanyahu and Haniyeh – the two Prime Ministers of their countries. The former is known for being involved in numerous personal scandals and corruption cases for which he faces a criminal trial. The later lived modestly and dedicated his whole life for a higher cause. Netanyahu desperately tries to continue the war by any means in order to safe his political career and to avoid criminal prosecution. So, while the Israeli Prime Minister subordinates the fate of his people and his country to his personal interests, Haniyeh did the opposite: he subordinated his life to the interests of his people.

It is not difficult to see the difference between good and evil. It is not difficult to choose the right side in history. The RCIT, like all socialists, democrats and righteous people – we stand, and we will always stand on the side of the oppressed!

The Palestinian people have lost another martyr and, no doubt, many more will die on the road to Jerusalem. But the struggle will continue until all of Palestine will be free – from the river to the sea!

시온주의 야수에 의한 이스마일 하니예의 암살은 팔레스타인 인민뿐만 아니라 해방투쟁을 지지하는 모든 이들에게 비극적인 사건이다. 하니예는 팔레스타인 저항투쟁 내 주도 세력인 하마스 정치국 의장이었다. 또 2006년 총선에서 하마스가 승리해서는 팔레스타인 총리가 되기도 했다.

하니예는 1962년 가자 지구의 알샤티 난민 캠프에서 태어났다. 일찍이 정치활동가로 대학생 때 하마스에 가입했다. 여러 차례 체포되어 감옥에서 수년을 보냈다. 이스라엘에 의해 암살된 또 다른 하마스 지도자였던 셰이크 아흐메드 야신의 측근 고문으로도 복무했다.

이스라엘은 친족 연좌제 정책 ㅡ 히틀러와 스탈린과 비슷하게 ㅡ 에 따라 하니예의 가족과 친지들을 조직적으로 살해했다. 2023년 10월 가자시에 있는 그의 집을 이스라엘이 공습하여 가족 14명이 몰살당했다. 한 달 뒤, 시온주의자들은 그의 큰 손자와 손녀도 살해했다. 올해 4월에는 하니예의 아들 세 명과 손자 세 명을 살해했고 한 달 전에는 80세 누나를 포함하여 친척 10명을 살해했다.

이스라엘 아파르트헤이트 국가와 팔레스타인 인민 간의 전쟁은 해방을 위한 전쟁이다. 억압자와 피억압자 간의 전쟁이다. 한편, 1948년 원주민의 추방 (나크바)과, 이웃 나라들을 상대로 한 수많은 전쟁을 통한 영구적 영토 확장, 그리고 이미 최소 4만 명을 죽인 현 가자 제노사이드 학살 위에서 세워진 식민 정착자 국가의 전쟁이다.

이 모든 것의 결과로, 이스라엘과 팔레스타인 저항투쟁 사이에는 단순하지만 유의미한, 도덕적 대비점들이 있다. 이스라엘은 냉혈한 살해, 민간인 테러와 수감자 강간으로 유명하다. 대조적으로, 팔레스타인 저항투쟁은 해방을 위해 희생을 마다 않는 헌신적인 전사들로 가득 차 있다.

이스라엘 총리 네타냐후와 하니예를 비교해보라. 네타냐후는 수많은 개인 스캔들과 부패 사건에 연루된 것으로 유명하다. 하니예는 개인적인 잡음 없이 겸손하게 살았고 높은 대의를 위해 전 생애를 바쳤다. 네타냐후는 자신의 권력을 안전하게 하고 부패로 인한 형사 기소를 피하기 위해 수단과 방법을 가리지 않고 전쟁을 계속하기 위해 발악하고 있다. 이와 같이 이스라엘 총리가 그의 인민과 그의 나라의 운명을 그 개인 이익에 종속시키고 있는 동안 하니예는 정반대로 그의 삶을 그의 인민의 이익에 종속시켰다.

선과 악의 차이를 보는 것은 어렵지 않다. 역사에서 옳은 길을 선택하는 것은 어렵지 않다. RCIT는, 모든 사회주의자와 민주주의자, 모든 정의로운 인민들처럼 피억압자의 편에 서 있고, 언제나 서 있을 것이다!

팔레스타인 인민은 또 한 사람의 순교자를 잃었고, 의심할 여지없이 더 많은 사람들이 예루살렘으로 가는 길에서 죽을 것이다. 하지만 그 투쟁은 요르단강에서 지중해까지 팔레스타인 모두가 자유로워질 때까지 계속될 것이다!

El asesinato a sangre fría de Ismail Haniyeh por parte del monstruo sionista, es un acontecimiento trágico, no sólo para el pueblo palestino sino para todos los que apoyan la lucha de liberación. Haniyeh era el presidente del Buró Político de Hamás, la principal fuerza de la resistencia palestina, además fue el primer ministro en Gaza, después de que su partido ganara las elecciones parlamentarias, en 2006.

Haniyeh, que nació en el campo de refugiados de al-Shati, en Gaza, en 1963, se convirtió en activista político desde muy joven y se unió a Hamás cuando era estudiante universitario. Fue arrestado varias veces y pasó varios años en prisión, convirtiéndose después en asesor del jeque Ahmed Yassin, un imán casi ciego y en silla de ruedas, que fue asesinado por Israel. Más tarde, Haniyeh se convirtió en el líder de Hamás y de la Autoridad Palestina en Gaza, antes de mudarse a Qatar en 2016 para convertirse en el jefe del Buró Político de Hamás.

Israel, que aplica la política de responsabilidad por parentesco (similar a la de Hitler y Stalin) asesinó sistemática­mente a familiares de Haniyeh. En octubre de 2023, cator­ce miembros de su familia murieron en un ataque aéreo contra su casa familiar en la ciudad de Gaza, entre ellos un hermano y un sobrino. Un mes después, Israel asesinó a una nieta y a su nieto mayor, y, en abril de este año, a tres de sus hijos y tres nietos. Para completar este raid de terror, un mes atrás, los sionistas masacraron a otros diez miembros de su familia, incluida su hermana de 80 años.

Haniyeh sabía que estaba en la lista de los condenados a muerte de Israel y que su vida tenía fecha de caducidad, más pronto que tarde. Recientemente, dijo: “Sentimos el peso de la confianza y la responsabilidad de la causa palestina, y esta responsabilidad tiene su precio, y estamos preparados para pagarlo: el martirio por el bien de Palestina, por el bien de Dios Todopoderoso y por el bien de la dignidad de esta nación”.

Lamentamos la muerte de este heroico hijo del pueblo palestino. Por supuesto, incluso en estos momentos difíciles, no negamos que, como marxistas, tenemos profundas diferencias políticas e ideológicas con Hamás, a la que consideramos una organización islamista pequeñoburguesa. Sin embargo, siempre hemos reconocido y respetado su papel en la lucha de liberación del pueblo palestino.

La guerra entre el Estado israelí del apartheid y el pueblo palestino es una guerra de liberación, una contienda entre opresores y oprimidos, contra un Estado colonizador que se basa en la expulsión de la población nativa en 1948 (Nakba). La expansión permanente de su territorio, mediante numerosas guerras contra sus vecinos y un genocidio en curso en Gaza, donde ya ha asesinado al menos a 40.000 personas, en su mayoría mujeres, niños y ancianos.

Como resultado de todo esto, existe un contraste moral simple pero significativo entre Israel y la resistencia palestina. El primero es conocido por sus asesinatos a sangre fría, su terrorismo contra los civiles y sus violaciones de prisioneros. En cambio, la resistencia palestina está llena de militantes desinteresados que sacrifican su vida en aras de la liberación.

Para eso, comparemos a Netanyahu con Haniyeh, ambos primeros ministros de sus respectivos países. Uno es conocido en todo el mundo, por estar involucrado en numerosos escándalos personales y casos de corrupción por los que se enfrenta a un proceso penal. El otro, por vivir modestamente y dedicar toda su vida a una causa superior. Netanyahu intenta desesperadamente continuar la guerra por cualquier medio para salvar su carrera política y evitar un proceso penal. Así, mientras que el primer ministro israelí subordina el destino de su pueblo y de su país a sus intereses personales, Haniyeh hizo lo contrario: subordinó su vida a los intereses de su pueblo.

No es difícil ver la diferencia entre el bien y el mal. No es difícil elegir el lado correcto en la historia. Desde la CCRI, como todos los socialistas, demócratas y personas justas, ¡estamos y estaremos siempre del lado de los oprimidos! El pueblo palestino ha perdido otro mártir y, sin duda, muchos más morirán en el camino hacia Jerusalén. Pero la lucha continuará hasta que toda Palestina sea libre, ¡desde el río hasta el mar!
