USA: Rally for a Ceasefire in Gaza, to denounce Biden's complicity and AM General's profits from arms sales to Israel

Report from a Rally in South Bend, Indiana, USA, on March 30, 2024, by an independent activist on invitation from the RCIT

On March 30th, in the town of South Bend, Indiana, USA, a little over a hundred activists gathered to protest in front of the offices of AM General, which is on record for selling military equipment (Humvee vehicles) to Israel. Three demands were raised: for Israel to cease fire, for Biden to stop supplying Israel with arms, and for AM General to stop profiting from supplying arms for genocide.

The initiative was launched by an ad-hoc group of activists from local churches, the Green Party and the Anti-War Committees in Solidarity with the Struggles for Self-Determination (AWCS, of which this writer is a member). These activists, from northwest Indiana, collaborated with the coalition Michiana Friends of Palestine, based in northeastern Indiana and Michigan, which has been successfully organizing rallies in South Bend.

Though modest in size, in comparison to recent mass marches in New York City and nearby Chicago (about a 3-hour drive from South Bend), the rally was significant for bringing together activists from many towns and communities, together with labor activists.

The action started with a spontaneous and spirited march through several blocks of South Bend, which is home to the University of Notre Dame. Participants chanted for a ceasefire, denounced AM General and Biden's complicity with genocide, against militarism, and in solidarity with the oppressed, from Palestine to Mexico.

The lead speaker at the rally was a representative of the United Auto Workers Labor For Palestine caucus (UAWL4P). She informed us that Palestinian trade unionists have called for a global picket line to stop weapons shipments to Israel. This call set the tone for the rally, and many of the speakers followed up in an impromptu discussion of how to engage the workers at AM General's manufacturing facility, who are UAW organized, and at other companies, such as Caterpillar, in nearby Illinois. This discussion continued after the rally, involving other activists from UAWL4P and young independent activists interested in this approach to building solidarity with the Palestinian struggle.

The speakers from Michiana Friends of Palestine were activists from the Palestinian American community. They held Biden directly responsible for the genocide in Gaza and denounced US imperialist interventions worldwide. The energy and enthusiasm these activists brought to the event is particularly noteworthy, leading us in chants until our voices were hoarse.

Activists from COSECHA (Spanish for harvest), which organizes for rights for undocumented workers, took the microphone to express solidarity with the Palestinian people, with all oppressed peoples, and to invite activists to support their struggle to win the right to secure drivers' licenses in the state of Indiana.

An activist from the AWCS gave a prepared speech that presented our organization's condemnation of Biden and the US ruling class for its complicity with genocide in Gaza, our demand for a free secular democratic Palestine as a home for both the Palestinian and Jewish communities, with respect for the Al Aqsa mosque and for the Right to Return of all Palestinians displaced by Zionism, and our belief that to confront wars, genocide and fascism we must build solidarity with the popular democratic struggles for self-determination, against all reactionary dictatorships and imperialist powers (speech available upon request).

An activist from the Illiana Muslim Association gave an emotionally moving appeal for solidarity that centered on the inhumane cruelty of the suffering imposed on the Palestinian people.

The speaker for the Green Party took up the need for building support among working people for opposition to militarism and US wars abroad, and to confront the climate crisis. He explained that he is a veteran labor activist and knows first-hand the challenges to this work.

There was also a brief exchange about Ukraine between the speaker for the Green Party and another for the AWCS: with the former holding the US responsible for instigating the tragic conflict and the later emphasizing the Ukrainians' right to self-determination. Both speakers will soon participate in an organized debate on the issue, which is obviously directly relevant to building a movement against militarism and US imperialist wars.

The rally closed with more chanting and finally a moving rendition of Bob Marley's Redemption Song by a local artist.

Finally, on appeal from this writer, the activists gathered for a group photo in solidarity with Syrian detainees, in particular for Dr. Majd KamAlmaz and Rania Alabbasi and her family, held by the Assad regime.

Even after the rally, discussions continued among activists. I heard two people exchanging opinions about how to characterize the Houthis and what positions our movement should take towards them, a pragmatic alliance or to maintain a political distance because of their shared responsibility (i.e., shared with the US, Saudi Arabia and the GCC) for the humanitarian crisis in Yemen.

The path forward is long and will require unity in action even as we discuss complex political issues.

London: Demonstration against the Genocide in Gaza

Another mass demonstration against the genocide in Gaza took place in London on 9^th March with about half a million people participating. Again, the march was organised by the Palestine Solidarity Campaign, the Stop the War Coalition, and the Friends of Al Asqa.

It was interesting to note that this time more British workers and youth joined the demonstration, compared to the marches before. However, the majority of demonstrators still came from the large diaspora of Arab and Muslim migrants. There were many placards with slogans like “Free Palestine”, “Ceasefire Now”, “From the River to the Sea, Palestine Will Be Free”, or “Stop Bombing Hospitals”. Many people also expressed their support for Palestinian resistance against Israel.

The police were there in big numbers with helicopters overhead and the ”Territorial Support Group” – a special police unit.

For the first time there were a number of trade union branches represented by rank-and-file activists from the PCS, UNITE, UNISON, NEU, UCU, and some Trades Councils. However, the trade union bureaucracy continues to follow the Zionist position of Keir Starmer and have not spoken at any of the rallies. As a sign of protest, there were stickers and placards against Starmer and the Labour leadership for not supporting the ceasefire.

Members of the RCIT participated at the demonstration selling our journals and distributing our leaflets in support of the Palestinian resistance. Several demonstrators were impressed that we had Arabic-language material.

Britain: Cold Homes Kill Protest

A group of 100 activists from the National Pensioners Campaign and the UNITE Community Fuel Poverty Action Group held a rally outside the parliament in Westminster on 6^th March. They were demanding free energy for all and the insulation of homes. With runaway inflation ordinary people, mainly pensioners and young people, cannot afford to heat their homes. Campaigners stressed that babies have died in the cold. They called for free energy and for completely making sure that every home is insulated from the cold.

Zara Sultana, the left-wing Labour MP for Coventry spoke at the rally and promised that a Labour Government should offer free energy. There were also regional protests from Exeter to Glasgow. RCIT activists participated in the protests.

Syria: Lively Mass Demonstration at the 13th Anniversary of the Revolution

About 2,000 Syrian migrants marched in Vienna at the 13^th anniversary of the Syrian Revolution. It was an extraordinary lively demonstration with people alternating chanting and singing against the dictatorship of Assad. The demonstration was led by Abdulhkeem Alshater from the association “Free Syrian Community of Austria”. As the pictures below show, demonstrators also expressed their solidarity with the people in Palestine.

The march was addressed by several Syrian speakers as well as one from the Ukraine. Michael Pröbsting, International Secretary of the RCIT, was the first speaker at the final rally. He emphasized that the Syrian Revolution is still living, and that this demonstration confirmed this. Michael sent greetings both to the heroic peoples in Syria as well as in Palestine – fighting for their freedom against tyranny. He pointed to the reactionary role of imperialist Great Powers with Russia backing Assad and the U.S. supporting Israel. Michael concluded his speech that Syria can only be free if the working people take political power as well as the economy in their own hands.

Furthermore, our activists sold 49 copies of the new issue of THAWRA – the Arab-language paper of the RCIT.

شارك نحو 2000 مهاجر سوري في مسيرة في فيينا بمناسبة الذكرى الثالثة عشرة للثورة السورية. لقد كانت مظاهرة حيوية بشكل استثنائي، حيث تناوب المشاركون على ترديد الهتافات والأغاني ضد دكتاتوربة الأسد. وقاد التظاهرة عبد الحكيم الشاطر من جمعية “الجالية السورية الحرة في النمسا”. وكما تظهر الصور أدناه، أعرب المتظاهرون أيضاً عن تضامنهم مع شعب فلسطين.

وتحدث في المظاهرة عدة متحدثين سوريين و واحد من أوكرانيا. كان مايكل بروبستينج، السكرتير الدولي لـ RCIT، أول المتحدثين في التجمع النهائي. وأكد أن الثورة السورية لا تزال حية وأن هذه التظاهرة تؤكد ذلك. و وجه مايكل تحياته إلى الشعبين البطلين في سوريا وفلسطين اللذين يناضلان من أجل حريتهما ضد الاستبداد. وأشار إلى الدور الرجعي للقوى الإمبريالية الكبرى، حيث تدعم روسيا الأسد والولايات المتحدة تدعم إسرائيل. وفي نهاية كلمته، أكد مايكل أن سوريا لا يمكن أن تكون حرة إلا إذا أخذ الشعب العامل السلطة السياسية والاقتصاد بأيديهم.

Siria: animada manifestación masiva en el 13º aniversario de la revolución

Unos 2.000 inmigrantes sirios marcharon en Viena en el 13º aniversario de la Revolución Siria. Fue una manifestación extraordinariamente animada, en la que la gente alternaba cánticos y cantos contra la dictadura de Assad. La manifestación fue encabezada por Abdulhkeem Alshater de la asociación “Comunidad Siria Libre de Austria”. Como muestran las imágenes a continuación, los manifestantes también expresaron su solidaridad con el pueblo palestino.

En la marcha se dirigieron varios oradores sirios y uno de Ucrania. Michael Pröbsting, secretario internacional de la CCRI, fue el primer orador en la manifestación final. Subrayó que la revolución siria sigue viva y que esta manifestación lo confirma. Syrien: Lebhafte Massendemonstration zum 13. Jahrestag der Revolution

Etwa 2.000 syrische Migrantinnen und Migranten marschierten zum 13. Jahrestag der syrischen Revolution in Wien. Es war eine außergewöhnlich lebhafte Demonstration, bei der die Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmer abwechselnd Sprechchöre und Lieder gegen die Diktatur von Assad skandierten. Angeführt wurde die Demonstration von Abdulhkeem Alshater vom Verein „Freie Syrische Gemeinde Österreichs“. Wie die Bilder unten zeigen, bekundeten die Demonstranten auch ihre Solidarität mit den Menschen in Palästina.

Auf der Demonstration sprachen mehrere syrische Redner sowie einer aus der Ukraine. Michael Pröbsting, Internationaler Sekretär des RCIT, war der erste Redner bei der Abschlusskundgebung. Er betonte, dass die syrische Revolution immer noch lebe und dass diese Demonstration dies bestätige. Michael sandte Grüße sowohl an die heldenhaften Völker in Syrien als auch in Palästina, die für ihre Freiheit gegen die Tyrannei kämpfen. Er verwies auf die reaktionäre Rolle der imperialistischen Großmächte, wobei Russland Assad und die USA Israel unterstützten. Michael betonte am Ende seiner Rede, dass Syrien nur dann frei sein kann, wenn die arbeitende Bevölkerung sowohl die politische Macht als auch die Wirtschaft selbst in die Hand nimmt.

Darüberhinaus verkauften unsere Aktivisten 49 Stück der neuen Ausgabe der THAWRA – der arabisch-sprachigen Zeitung der RCIT.

Austria: Rally against the Flour Massacre in Gaza

Several dozen pro-Palestine activists assembled in the centre of Vienna to protest against another heinous massacre which the Israeli army had carried out against Palestinian aid seekers in Gaza on 29 February. Within a few minutes Israeli snipers and tanks murdered at least 118 Palestinian civilians who were trying to get some flour from aid trucks. The rally was organized by the Arab Palestine Club and led by comrade Mohammed. It was addressed by Mohamed and several representatives from the “Palestine Solidarity Austria” as well as from the Palestinian Community. In addition, Michael Pröbsting, International Secretary of the RCIT, did also speak.

Michael called the “Flour Massacre” as another confirmation of the terrorist nature of the Israeli state. He also pointed to various examples which show the broad and determined resistance against the Zionist genocide in Gaza. The parliamentary by-election in Rochdale (Britain) last week resulted in a sensational victory of George Galloway – a well-known pro-Palestine solidarity activist since decades. During his campaign he strongly denounced Israels’ genocide and the Western support for it. in the end, Galloway got more votes than the candidates of all parliamentary parties together! This electoral victory reflects the widespread opposition amongst the population against Israels’ terrorist war.

Michael also recalled the self-immolation by Aaron Bushnell, a young American soldier who could no longer stand the support of the U.S. for Israel. Brother Aaron made the biggest possible sacrifice and died exclaiming the words “Free Palestine”.

Finally, Michael also reported about a new joint initiative from Israeli anti-war activists which has been launched by Gush Shalom – a well-known peace movement – as well as the RCIT comrades in in this country. They are calling international trade unions to boycott arms deliveries to Israel. Varias docenas de activistas pro palestinos se reunieron en el centro de Viena para protestar contra otra masacre atroz que el ejército israelí había llevado a cabo contra palestinos que buscaban ayuda en Gaza el 29 de febrero. En pocos minutos, francotiradores y tanques israelíes asesinaron al menos a 118 civiles palestinos que intentaban conseguir harina de los camiones de ayuda. La manifestación fue organizada por el Club Árabe Palestino y encabezada por el camarada Mohammed. En ella intervinieron Mohamed y varios representantes de “Palestina Solidaridad Austria”, así como de la Comunidad Palestina. Además, intervino Michael Pröbsting, secretario internacional de la CCRI.

Michael calificó la “Masacre de la Harina” como otra confirmación de la naturaleza terrorista del Estado de Israel. También señaló varios ejemplos que muestran la resistencia amplia y decidida contra el genocidio sionista en Gaza. Las elecciones parlamentarias parciales celebradas en Rochdale (Gran Bretaña) la semana pasada resultaron en una sensacional victoria de George Galloway, un conocido activista de solidaridad pro Palestina desde hace décadas. Durante su campaña denunció enérgicamente el genocidio israelí y el apoyo occidental al mismo. ¡Al final, Galloway obtuvo más votos que los candidatos de todos los partidos parlamentarios juntos! Mehrere Dutzend pro-palästinensische Aktivisten versammelten sich im Zentrum von Wien, um gegen ein weiteres abscheuliches Massaker zu protestieren, das die israelische Armee am 29. Februar an palästinensischen Hilfssuchenden in Gaza verübt hatte. Innerhalb weniger Minuten ermordeten israelische Scharfschützen und Panzer mindestens 118 palästinensische Zivilisten, die versuchten, etwas Mehl von Lastwagen zu holen. Die Kundgebung wurde vom Arabischen Palästina Club organisiert und von Genosse Mohammed geleitet. Es sprachen Mohamed und mehrere Vertreter der „Palästina Solidarität Österreich“ sowie der Palästinensischen Gemeinde. Darüber hinaus sprach auch Michael Pröbsting, Internationaler Sekretär des RCIT.

Michael bezeichnete das „Mehl-Massaker“ eine weitere Bestätigung des terroristischen Charakters des israelischen Staates. Er verwies auch auf verschiedene Beispiele, die den breiten und entschlossenen Widerstand gegen den zionistischen Völkermord in Gaza zeigten. Die parlamentarische Nachwahl in Rochdale (Großbritannien) letzte Woche führte zu einem sensationellen Sieg von George Galloway – einem seit Jahrzehnten bekannten pro-palästinensischen Solidaritätsaktivisten. Während seines Wahlkampfs verurteilte er scharf den israelischen Völkermord und die westliche Unterstützung dafür. Schlussendlich bekam Galloway mehr Stimmen als die Kandidaten aller Parlamentsparteien zusammen! Dieser Wahlsieg spiegelt den weit verbreiteten Widerstand der Bevölkerung gegen den terroristischen Krieg Israels wider.

Michael erinnerte auch an die Selbstverbrennung von Aaron Bushnell, einem jungen amerikanischen Soldaten, der die Unterstützung der USA für Israel nicht länger ertragen konnte. Bruder Aaron brachte das größtmögliche Opfer und starb mit den Worten „Free Palestine“.

Abschließend berichtete Michael auch über eine neue gemeinsame Initiative israelischer Antikriegsaktivisten, die von Gush Shalom – einer bekannten Friedensbewegung – sowie den RCIT-Genossen in diesem Land ins Leben gerufen wurde. Sie rufen internationale Gewerkschaften dazu auf, Waffenlieferungen an Israel zu boykottieren. Anti-War Protest in Tel Aviv

An anti-war demonstration was organized on Tuesday yesterday (27.2.) by the “Radical Block” group. No slogans were raised as it was a silent protest with holding signs and showing pictures from the atrocities in Gaza. The speaker read testimonies of torture and of the experiences and reality of the Palestinians people in the Gaza.

No se levantaron consignas ya que fue una protesta silenciosa con carteles y imágenes de las atrocidades en Gaza. El ponente leyó testimonios de torturas y de las experiencias y realidad del pueblo palestino en Gaza. ¡Abajo la guerra sionista y el genocidio! ¡Por Palestina roja y libre desde el río hasta el mar!

Austria: Demonstration against Israel’s Genocide in Gaza

A little less than 1,000 people demonstrated in Vienna against Israel's genocide in Gaza. The march was organized by the Palestinian Community of Austria and Palestine Solidarity Austria. There were several speakers from BDS, Handala, Dar al Janub and the Palestinian community.

Michael Pröbsting, International Secretary of the RCIT, was also invited to speak at the demonstration. Michael emphasized in his speech that Western governments' support for Israel does not reflect popular opinion. In reality, many more people are on the side of Palestine than on the side of Israel. This is globally the case and even in Europe and the USA. Michael also criticized the hypocrisy of many politicians – especially in the Muslim world – who verbally condemn Israel but, at the same time, continue to trade with this terrorist state.

تظاهر ما يقل قليلاً عن 1000 شخص في فيينا ضد الإبادة الجماعية التي ترتكبها إسرائيل في غزة. ونظمت المسيرة الجالية الفلسطينية في النمسا ومنظمة التضامن مع فلسطين النمسا. وكان هناك العديد من المتحدثين من حركة المقاطعة وحنظلة ودار الجنوب والمجتمع الفلسطيني.

كما تمت دعوة ميخائيل بروبستينج، السكرتير الدولي لـ RCIT، للتحدث في المظاهرة. وشدد مايكل في كلمته على أن دعم الحكومات الغربية لإسرائيل لا يعكس الرأي العام. في الواقع عدد الأشخاص الذين يؤيدون فلسطين أكبر بكثير من عددهم الذين يؤيدون إسرائيل. وهذا هو الحال في جميع أنحاء العالم، وحتى في أوروبا والولايات المتحدة الأمريكية. وانتقد ميخائيل أيضًا نفاق العديد من السياسيين خاصة في العالم الإسلامي- الذين يدينون إسرائيل لفظيًا ولكنهم في الوقت نفسه يواصلون التجارة مع هذه الدولة الإرهابية.

Poco menos de 1.000 personas se manifestaron en Viena contra el genocidio israelí en Gaza. La marcha fue organizada por la Comunidad Palestina de Austria y Solidaridad Palestina Austria. Hubo varios oradores del BDS, Handala, Dar al Janub y la comunidad palestina.

También fue invitado a la manifestación Michael Pröbsting, secretario internacional de la CCRI. Michael enfatizó en su discurso que el apoyo de los gobiernos occidentales a Israel no refleja la opinión popular. En realidad, hay mucha más gente del lado de Palestina que del lado de Israel. Este es el caso a nivel mundial e incluso en Europa y Estados Unidos. Etwas weniger als 1.000 Menschen demonstrierten in Wien gegen Israels Völkermord in Gaza. Der Marsch wurde von der Palästinensischen Gemeinde Österreich und der Palästina Solidarität Österreich organisiert. Es gab mehrere Rednerinnen und Redner von BDS, Handala, Dar al Janub sowie von der palästinensischen Gemeinde.

Auch Michael Pröbsting, Internationaler Sekretär der RCIT, wurde eingeladen, bei der Demonstration zu sprechen. Michael betonte in seiner Rede, dass die Unterstützung der westlichen Regierungen für Israel nicht die Meinung der Bevölkerung widerspiegelt. In Wirklichkeit stehen viel mehr Menschen auf der Seite Palästinas als auf der von Israel. Dies ist weltweit der Fall, und sogar auch in Europa und den USA. Ebenso kritisierte Michael die Heuchelei vieler Politiker – gerade auch in der muslimischen Welt – die in Worten Israel verurteilen aber gleichzeitig weiterhin Handel mit diesem Terrorstaat betreiben.

Austria: Rally against Israel’s Genocide in Gaza

On 22 February, dozens of pro-Palestine activists held a rally in the centre of Vienna. This solidarity activity was organized by the Arab Palestine Club and led by comrade Mohammed.

The rally was addressed by Mohamed as well as by a female representative of the “Students for the Palestinian Cause in Austria”. In addition, Michael Pröbsting, International Secretary of the RCIT, was also invited to speak at the rally.

Michael emphasised the right of the Palestinian people to defend their homeland. He denounced the support of the Austrian and Western governments for the Israeli genocide in Gaza. Michael also reported about a criminal complaint which has been filed against him by pro-Zionist forces based on “suspicion of incitement to commit terrorist offenses and approval of terrorist offenses in accordance with Paragraph 282a, Section 2 of the Criminal Code.” This criminal complaint is based on a RCIT leaflet which had been distributed at demonstrations and which stated our support for the Palestinian resistance as well as our opposition against the Israeli Apartheid state. Austria: Manifestación contra el genocidio de Israel en Gaza

El 22 de febrero, decenas de activistas pro palestinos celebraron una manifestación en el centro de Viena. Esta actividad solidaria fue organizada por el Club Árabe Palestino y dirigida por el camarada Mohammed.

Wien: Kundgebung gegen Israels Völkermord in Gaza

Am 22. Februar veranstalteten Dutzende pro-palästinensische Aktivistinnen und Aktivisten eine Kundgebung im Zentrum von Wien. Diese Solidaritätsaktion wurde vom Arabischen Palästina Club organisiert und von Genosse Mohammed geleitet.

Michael berichtete auch von einer Strafanzeige, die gegen ihn von pro-zionistischen Kreisen wegen „des Verdachts auf Aufforderung zu terroristischen Straftaten und Gutheißung terroristischer Straftaten gem. § 282a Abs. 2 StGB“ eingereicht wurde. Diese Strafanzeige basiert auf einem RCIT-Flugblatt, das auf Demonstrationen verteilt wurde und in dem wir unsere Unterstützung für den palästinensischen Widerstand sowie unsere Opposition gegen den israelischen Apartheidstaat zum Ausdruck brachten. London: National March for Ceasefire in Gaza

Over 500,000 people demonstrated from Marble Arch to Kensington in London on 17th February. The march was organised by the Palestine Solidarity Campaign, the Stop the War Coalition, and Friends of Al Asqa.

The demonstrators – mostly Arab and Muslim migrants – held placards with slogans like “From the River to the Sea, Palestine Will Be Free”, “Occupation no more”, “End Apartheid – End Genocide”, “Stop Bombing Hospitals”, or “Resistance is legitimate”.

There was a very heavy police presence with 1500 police officers from all over the country.

The march concluded at Kensington High Street where the Israeli Embassy is located. There were no major trade union banners at the demonstration which showed that the trade union bureaucracy once again refuses to support the campaign for a ceasefire and an end to the genocide in Gaza.

RCIT militants distributed our leaflet “No to the Second Nabka” and engaged in useful discussions with participants.

Anti-War Protest in Tel Aviv (13.02.2024)

An anti-war demonstration was organized on Tuesday by the “Radical Block” group. This time there was no police next to the protesters (but it also meant there were some Zionist provocateurs with the Israeli flag as one can see in the pictures below).

As usual, the rally was led by Hadash affiliated groups (Hadash is a part of the Israeli Communist Party). The slogan “From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be free” was raised, as well as “From the River to the Sea, Freedom and Equality”. The protest was organized because of the concern regarding the invasion of the Rafah territory in Gaza, which is a step in the direction of the new and ongoing Nakba.

South Korea: Solidarity Rally in Support of the Peace and Liberation of Palestine

Report from a Rally in Ulsan on 3 February 2024, Workers' Revolutionary Party (Preparation Group) [RCIT Section in South Korea]

The 6th Ulsan emergency action was held in front of Lotte Hotel on 3 February.

The head of the Ulsan regional headquarters of the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions, the deputy head of the headquarters, the secretary general, the head of the Ulsan headquarters of the Korean Government Employees' Union, and comrades from the secretariat were present. The branch president of the Hyundai Glovis branch also participated.

Workers' Revolutionary Party (Preparation Group), Bread and Roses and other comrades also participated. Migrant workers showed various positive reactions to today's campaign. Some took pictures and videos, some gave us a thumbs up and greeted us, and one person from Syria even thanked us for showing solidarity with Palestine.

Ulsan citizens will also show interest and support. We need to find ways for them to take small actions and practice.

Argentina: Mobilizations against Milei's Adjustment Laws

This week, a package of adjustment laws proposed by the right-wing government of Javier Millei, began to be debated in the Argentine parliament. This package aims at taking away workers' rights as well as granting extraordinary powers to the president so that he can dispense with parliament.

In face of these attacks, the left mobilized for three consecutive days, challenging the government's repressive protocol and exercising self-defense, in constant clashes with the police and other security forces.

Next week, the debate will continue in parliament and the left calls for new demonstrations.

From Convergencia Socialista, Argentine section of the RCIT, we actively participate on the front line during all the days, and we will continue in the fight until the adjustment laws fall and Milei also falls.

Esta semana se comenzó a debatir en el parlamento argentino, un paquete de leyes de ajuste propuesto por el gobierno derechista de Javier Millei, que además de quitar derechos a los trabajadores, busca otorgar facultades extraordinarias al presidente para que pueda prescindir del parlamento.

Ante esto la izquierda se movilizó tres días consecutivos, desafiando el protocolo represivo del gobierno y ejerciendo la autodefensa, en constantes choques con la policía y otras fuerzas de seguridad.

La semana próxima, continuará el debate en el parlamento y la izquierda convoca a nuevas manifestaciones.

Cette semaine, le parlement argentin a commencé à débattre d'un ensemble de lois d'ajustement proposées par le gouvernement de droite de Javier Millei, qui, en plus de supprimer les droits des travailleurs, vise à accorder des pouvoirs extraordinaires au président afin qu'il puisse contourner le parlement.

Face à cette situation, la gauche s'est mobilisée pendant trois jours consécutifs, défiant le protocole répressif du gouvernement et exerçant l'autodéfense dans des affrontements constants avec la police et les autres forces de sécurité.

La semaine prochaine, le débat se poursuivra au Parlement et la gauche appelle à de nouvelles manifestations.

Na próxima semana, o debate prosseguirá no Parlamento e a esquerda está a chamar por novas manifestações.

Questa settimana il Parlamento argentino ha iniziato a discutere un pacchetto di leggi di aggiustamento proposto dal governo di destra di Javier Millei che, oltre ad abolire i diritti dei lavoratori, mira a concedere poteri straordinari al presidente in modo che possa aggirare il Parlamento.

Di fronte a questa situazione, la sinistra si è mobilitata per tre giorni consecutivi, sfidando il protocollo repressivo del governo ed esercitando l'autodifesa in continui scontri con la polizia e le altre forze di sicurezza.

La prossima settimana il dibattito proseguirà in Parlamento e la sinistra chiede nuove manifestazioni.

Dalla Convergenza Socialista, la sezione argentina della TCRI, abbiamo partecipato attivamente, in prima linea ogni giorno, e continueremo a lottare finché cadranno le leggi di austerità e cadrà anche Milei.

Argentina: First Strike against the Milei Government

On January 24, a strike and mobilization at the parliament was carried out by the Argentine trade unions (CGT), together with a wide range of political and social organizations, among which was the Trotskyist left.

The strike was not really massive, since the bureaucrats who run the union center called for a stoppage for only 12 hours, starting at noon on the 24^th. However, the demonstration was really massive, according to the bourgeois media, attended between 250,000 and 400,000 people in one of the largest mobilizations in recent years.

This strike occurs just 45 days into Milei's government and was preceded by several mobilizations and protests throughout the country.

From Convergencia Socialista, Argentine section of the CCRI, we participated in the mobilization by raising the slogans of workers' and popular assemblies throughout the country and to build a general strike until Milei and all the employers' representatives leave.

“We must promote the organization of thousands of workers and popular assemblies and a Coordinating Center of the Resistance, which launches the Argentinazo that will be necessary to overthrow the government and impose a profound democratic solution: Transforming the country into a great assembly, of constituent character, in which the people decide what model is needed to get out of the crisis! Argentina; primera huelga contra el gobierno de Milei

El 24 de Enero se llevó adelante una huelga y movilización al parlamento, por parte de la central sindical de Argentina (CGT), junto con un amplio arco de organizaciones políticas y sociales, entre los que estuvo la izquierda trotskista.

El paro no fue realmente masivo, ya que los burócratas que dirigen la central sindical, llamaron a parar por tan solo 12 hs, a partir del medio día del 24, pero la demostración fue realmente masiva, según los medios de prensa burgueses, asistieron entre 250.000 y 400.000 personas en una de las movilizaciones más masivas de los últimos años.

Esta huelga sucede a solo 45 días de iniciado el gobierno de Milei y fue precedida por varias movilizaciones y protestas en todo el país.

Desde Convergencia Socialista, sección argentina de la CCRI, participamos de la movilización levantando la consigna de asambleas obreras y populares en todo el país, para construir una huelga general hasta que se vaya Milei y todos los representantes patronales.

“Hay que impulsar la organización de miles de asambleas obreras y populares y un Centro Coordinador de la Resistencia, que ponga en marcha el Argentinazo que será necesario para echar al gobierno e imponer una salida democrática profunda: ¡Transformando al país en una gran asamblea, de carácter constituyente, en la que el pueblo decida qué modelo hace falta para salir de la crisis! Britain: TUC Demonstration Against Tory Anti-Trade Union Laws

The TUC organised a demonstration on 27^th January 2024 against new anti-trade union laws which the right-wing Tory government wants to impose. About 4,000 workers from all the affiliated trade unions attended including members from UNITE, UNISON, RMT, ASLEF, FBU, CWU, NEU, UCU, and other smaller trade unions. There were several trade union banners but no chanting or any other slogan. For a membership of several million it was a very quiet and small demonstration which marched through Cheltenham, a middle-class town in Gloucestershire.

The Rally afterwards was addressed by Sharon Graham of UNITE and Mick Lynch of the RMT. Both of the trade union leaders pursued their own sectional interests without mentioning the need for a general strike. They are under the illusion that a Starmer Labour government would repeal the anti-trade union legislation. However, under such a pro-capitalist leadership like Starmer this is not going to happen.

RCIT militants intervened at this demonstration, sold our publications and handed out leaflets on Israel’s genocidal war in Gaza.

More than 700 people demonstrated in the inner city of Vienna to show their protest against the ongoing genocide of Israel in Gaza. The march was organized by the Action Committee for Palestine.

There were several speakers from the BDS movement as well as from the Palestinian Community. Michael Pröbsting, International Secretary of the RCIT, was also asked to address the demonstration. He emphasised that South Africa’s genocide case against Israel at the International Court of Justice did show the sheer scale of systematic and planned war crimes against the Palestinian people. Michael added that despite their military strength, Israel and their Western supporters, are largely isolated in the world. Furthermore, he stressed that as the war is expanding to the Red Sea, one must not be neutral. We stand on the side of the resistance in Palestine and Yemen and against imperialism and Zionism.

Más de 700 personas se manifestaron en el centro de la ciudad de Viena para mostrar su rechazo al genocidio en curso de Israel en Gaza. La marcha fue organizada por el Comité de Acción por Palestina.

Hubo varios oradores del movimiento BDS así como de la comunidad palestina. También se pidió a Michael Pröbsting, secretario internacional de la CCRI, que se dirigiera a la manifestación. Hizo hincapié en que el caso de genocidio de Sudáfrica contra Israel ante la Corte Internacional de Justicia mostró la magnitud de los crímenes de guerra, sistemáticos y planificados contra el pueblo palestino. Michael añadió que a pesar de su fuerza militar, Israel y sus partidarios occidentales están en gran medida aislados en el mundo. Austria: Demonstration in Solidarity with Palestine and Yemen

On 19 January, several hundred people marched from the main university in Vienna to the American embassy. The demonstration was organized by the Arab Palestine Club and led by Comrade Mohammed.

There were several speakers, including Michael Pröbsting, International Secretary of the RCIT. He stated our support for the Palestinian resistance and welcomed the solidarity actions of the Houthis in Yemen, which are hurting the Israeli economy. Michael condemned American and European imperialism, which supports the genocide in Gaza with money and weapons and is now even using missiles to attack the resistance in Yemen. He emphasized that we are not neutral in this war but are on the side of the resistance in Palestine and Yemen and against imperialism and Zionism.

Austria: manifestación de solidaridad con Palestina y Yemen

El 19 de enero, varios cientos de personas marcharon desde la principal universidad de Viena hasta la embajada estadounidense. La manifestación fue organizada por el Club Árabe Palestino y encabezada por el camarada Mohammed.

Asistieron varios ponentes, entre ellos Michael Pröbsting, secretario internacional de la CCRI, quien manifestó nuestro apoyo a la resistencia palestina y acogió con satisfacción las acciones de solidaridad de los hutíes en Yemen, que están perjudicando la economía israelí. Michael condenó al imperialismo estadounidense y europeo, que apoya el genocidio en Gaza con dinero y armas y que ahora incluso utiliza misiles para atacar la resistencia en Yemen. Destacó que no somos neutrales en esta guerra, sino que estamos del lado de la resistencia en Palestina y Yemen, contra el imperialismo y el sionismo.

Wien: Demonstration in Solidarität mit Palästina und Jemen

Am 19. Januar marschierten mehrere hundert Menschen von der Hauptuniversität in Wien zur amerikanischen Botschaft. Die Demonstration wurden vom Arabischen Palästina Club organisiert und von Genosse Mohammed geleitet.

Es gab mehrere Rednerinnen und Redner, darunter auch Michael Pröbsting, Internationaler Sekretär des RCIT. Er bekundete unsere Unterstützung für den palästinensischen Widerstand und begrüßte die Solidaritätsaktionen der Houthis in Jemen, die die israelische Wirtschaft schwächen. Michael verurteilte den amerikanischen und europäischen Imperialismus, der den Völkermord im Gaza mit Geld und Waffen unterstützt und jetzt sogar mit Raketen den Widerstand in Jemen angreift. Er betonte, dass wir in diesem Krieg nicht neutral sind, sondern auf Seiten des Widerstandes in Palästina und Jemen und gegen Imperialismus und Zionismus stehen.

Anti-War Demonstration in Tel Aviv (16.1.2024)

An anti-war demonstration was organized on Tuesday by the “Radical Block” group. In the demonstration, the police took down signs calling for an end to the massacre as they were “inciting”. Some people wrote the slogan “Stop the massacre” on their hands as the police took down such signs. The police did not allow the protest in the original place and instead directed it to a smaller place in Tel Aviv. As usual, the rally was led by Hadash affiliated groups – Hadash is a part of the Israeli Communist Party. There were no other groups present.

The slogan “From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be free” was raised, as well as “From the River to the Sea, Freedom and Equality”.

Syria: Rally Expresses the Unbroken Solidarity with the Revolution against Assad

A little less than 100 Syrian migrants held a rally in downtown Vienna on 14 January. They expressed their ongoing solidarity with the popular uprising against Assad's dictatorship. The rally was led by Abdulhkeem Alshater from the association “Free Syrian Community of Austria”.

Two brothers from the Syrian province of Suweida, including the doctor Dr. Nasim Nasr, reported in their speeches about the uprising of the Druze population in their region. Daily demonstrations against Assad's dictatorship have been taking place there since August last year.

In his speech, Michael Pröbsting, International Secretary of the RCIT, emphasized that the Syrian revolution is unbroken. In light of the Israeli genocide in Gaza, Michael emphasized that Assad is an opponent of the Zionist state only in words. His actions prove the opposite: while he has dropped countless bombs on his own people over the last 13 years, he has not fired a single shot against Israel! Michael reiterated our unconditional solidarity with the Syrian revolution.

There was an impressive show of spontaneous solidarity between Syrians and Palestinians during the rally. During the rally, a long motorcade of pro-Palestinian activists happened to drive past us. When the Palestinian speaker on the loudspeaker truck saw our rally, she spontaneously shouted: “Long live free Syria!” This, of course, caused great enthusiasm among the Syrian demonstrators and we responded with the famous slogan “Bi ruh bi dam – naftiq ya Filistin” (Our soul, our blood – for Palestine).

نظم ما يقل قليلا عن 100 مهاجر سوري مسيرة في وسط مدينة فيينا يوم 14 كانون الثاني/يناير. وأعربوا عن تضامنهم مع الانتفاضة الشعبية ضد دكتاتورية الأسد. وقاد المسيرة عبد الحكيم الشاطر من جمعية “الجالية السورية الحرة في النمسا”.

شقيقان من محافظة السويداء السورية بينهم الطبيب د. نسيم نصر، تحدثوا في خطاباتهم عن انتفاضة السكان الدروز في هذا الجزء من البلاد. وتجري هناك مظاهرات يومية ضد دكتاتورية الأسد منذ أغسطس من العام الماضي.

وفي كلمته، أكد مايكل بروبستينج، السكرتير الدولي للRCIT، أن الثورة السورية لم تنكسر. وفي ظل الإبادة الجماعية الإسرائيلية في غزة، أكد مايكل أن الأسد معارض للدولة الصهيونية فقط بالقول. إن تصرفاته تثبت العكس: فبينما أسقط عدداً لا يحصى من القنابل على شعبه خلال السنوات الـ 13 الماضية، لم يطلق رصاصة واحدة ضد إسرائيل! وأكد ميخائيل بروبستينغ تضامننا غير المشروط مع الثورة السورية.

خلال المسيرة، كان هناك عرض مثير للإعجاب للتضامن التلقائي بين السوريين والفلسطينيين. خلال المسيرة، مر أمامنا موكب طويل من الناشطين المؤيدين للفلسطينيين. وعندما شاهدت المتحدثة الفلسطينية عبر مكبر الصوت تجمعنا، صرخت بشكل عفوي: "عاشت سوريا حرة!"

Siria: manifestación expresa la solidaridad inquebrantable con la revolución contra Assad

Poco menos de 100 inmigrantes sirios celebraron una manifestación en el centro de Viena el 14 de enero. Expresaron su continua solidaridad con el levantamiento popular contra la dictadura de Assad. La manifestación estuvo encabezada por Abdulhkeem Alshater de la asociación “Comunidad Siria Libre de Austria”.

Dos hermanos de la provincia siria de Suweida, entre ellos el médico Nasim Nasr, informaron en sus discursos sobre el levantamiento de la población drusa en su región. Allí se llevan a cabo manifestaciones diarias contra la dictadura de Assad desde agosto del año pasado.

En su discurso, Michael Pröbsting, secretario internacional de la CCRI, subrayó que la revolución siria no está rota. A la luz del genocidio israelí en Gaza, Michael enfatizó que Assad es un oponente del Estado sionista sólo de palabra. Sus acciones demuestran lo contrario: mientras ha lanzado innumerables bombas sobre su propio pueblo durante los últimos 13 años, ¡no ha disparado ni un solo tiro contra Israel! Michael reiteró nuestra solidaridad incondicional con la revolución siria.

Durante la manifestación hubo una impresionante muestra de solidaridad espontánea entre sirios y palestinos. En la movilización, una larga caravana de activistas pro palestinos pasó junto a nosotros. Cuando la portavoz palestina en el camión con altavoces vio nuestra manifestación, gritó espontáneamente: “¡Viva Siria libre!” Esto, por supuesto, provocó un gran entusiasmo entre los manifestantes sirios y respondimos con el famoso lema “Bi ruh bi dam – naftiq ya Filistin” (Nuestra alma, nuestra sangre – por Palestina).

Etwas weniger als 100 syrische Migrantinnen und Migranten hielten am 14. Januar eine Kundgebung in der Wiener Innenstadt ab. Sie bekundeten ihre Solidarität mit dem Volksaufstand gegen die Diktatur von Assad ab. Die Kundgebung wurde von Abdulhkeem Alshater vom Verein „Freie Syrische Gemeinde Österreichs“ geleitet.

Zwei Brüder aus der syrischen Provinz Suweida, darunter der Arzt Dr. Nasim Nasr, berichteten in ihren Reden über den Aufstand der drusischen Bevölkerung in diesem Landesteil. Seit August letzten Jahres finden dort tägliche Demonstrationen gegen die Diktatur von Assad statt.

In seiner Rede betonte Michael Pröbsting, Internationaler Sekretär der RCIT, dass die syrische Revolution ungebrochen ist. Angesichts des israelischen Völkermordes in Gaza betonte Michael, dass Assad nur in Worten ein Gegner des zionistischen Staates ist. Seine Taten beweisen das Gegenteil: während er in den letzten 13 Jahren unzählige Bomben auf das eigene Volk abwerfen lies, hat er bislang keinen einzigen Schuss gegen Israel abfeuert! Michael bekräftigte unsere bedingungslose Solidarität mit der syrischen Revolution.

Während der Kundgebung gab es ein beeindruckendes Zeichen der spontanen Solidarität zwischen Syrern und Palästinensern. Während der Kundgebung fuhr zufälligerweise ein langer Autokorso von pro-palästinensischen Aktivistinnen und Aktivisten an uns vorbei. Als die palästinensische Rednerin auf dem Lautsprecherwagen unsere Kundgebung sah, rief sie spontan: „Lang lebe das freie Syrien!“. Dies rief natürlich große Begeisterung bei den syrischen Demonstranten hervor und wir antworteten mit der berühmten Losung „Bi ruh bi dam – naftiq ya Filistin“ (Unsere Seele, unser Blut – für Palästina).

London: National March For Palestine

Half a million people marched in London on 13^th January – a global day of action with demonstrations taking place in 45 other countries. The march was organised by the Palestine Solidarity Campaign, the Stop the War Coalition, and Friends of Al Asqa.

It was a huge demonstration with many Arab and Muslim migrants often draped in the Palestinian Flag and wearing the Keffiyeh. Everyone was chanting slogans like “From the River to the Sea, Palestine Will Be Free”, “Ceasefire Now”, or “Israel is a Terror state”. Placards had similar messages, saying also “Stop the massacre” or “Childbirth should be bomb free”.

Several speakers addressed the March at Parliament Square, among others Jeremy Corby (Labour MP), Husam Zomlot (Palestinan ambassador to Britain) and Mary Lou McDonald President (Sinn Fein).

Compared to past demonstrations, there was more trade union banners present – mostly from Unite, Unison and various trades councils. Two local Labour parties – from Clapham and Leyton – had also banners, despite Keir Starmer's support for Israel and the bombing of Yemen.

RCIT militants intervened in the march and received plenty of support for our leaflet “No to the Second Nabka”.

Once again, demonstration in solidarity with Palestine in Mexico City

On January 7, another large march was held in Mexico City, attended by about 3,000 people, who left from the United States embassy to the Israeli embassy. “From the river to the sea, Palestine will win” was heard in the demonstration, which toured part of the bourgeois neighborhood of Polanco, known for housing many Zionist Jews, their businesses and their condominiums. A stop was made at some commercial establishments such as a Starbucks and a Zara store, where the complicity of this multinational companies with the war of occupation and extermination carried out by the genocidal State of Israel was pointed out.

During previous days, a bicycle ride was also carried out on Paseo de la Reforma and the Palestinian flag was displayed in the shopping center of the exclusive Mitikah Tower, in which the protesters were attacked by security personnel. This building, which is the tallest in Mexico City, is owned by the El-Mann Azari, Israeli Jews living in Mexico, through the company Fibra Uno, which is a real estate company that has gained a lot of capital thanks to traffic of influence with the government of the Benito Juárez delegation and Mexico City. The construction of the Mitikah Tower was challenged by residents of the popular neighborhood of Xoco, due to the gentrification that this construction would bring (and brought) to the area.

In Mexico there continues to be a great movement of solidarity with Palestine, although we denounce that the Mexican government continues to refuse to break any type of relations with Israel. We also denounce the lukewarmness of the bulletin that was read at yesterday's demonstration by organizers of the Common Platform for Palestine, who openly and unilaterally advocated for a two-state solution. Such a “solution” is a criminal trap that only keeps Israel with the power to continue its war of extermination and the systematic occupation of land that does not belong to it. In addition, its proposal handles an intervention through a hypothetical mechanism via the UN so that the Mexican government can be a mediator in the conflict. Don't these people understand what “from the river to the sea” means?

This position acquired by the Common Platform for Palestine represents a terrible setback with respect to the demands that were initially made due to the rupture of relations with Israel. We urge the members of the platform to rectify their positions, and not to allow the Morena party to interfere in them, since, to begin with, the candidate for the presidency of that party, Claudia Sheinbaum, who is the designated “successor” of AMLO, has strong ties with the Zionist society of Mexico (the same as all other bourgeois parties) - independently of her Jewish origins - and in general, the party has demonstrated a tendency to co-opt social movements in favor of its electoral interests. A position like the one shown by the Common Platform for Palestine yesterday only serves the interests of the State of Israel, and not the Palestinian people.

Although we know that within a broad solidarity movement, political positions may vary, it is a reality that the majority of the Palestinian population has demonstrated in recent surveys, both support for armed resistance and a resounding rejection of the two States solution policy. ^{^[1]} So we as the Revolutionary Communist International Tendency (RCIT) not only support this position because it is the one that the Palestinian majority holds, but mainly because it is part of a Marxist principle for the liberation of a people oppressed against colonization by an imperialist country such as Israel, which is also supported by the imperialist Great Powers. ^{^[2]}

The next demonstration will be this Saturday, January 13 at 4:00 p.m., starting from the Independence Angel towards the capital's Zócalo.

El día 7 de enero se realizó otra gran marcha en la Ciudad de México a la que asistieron unas 3 mil personas que partió de la embajada estadounidense a la embajada de Israel. “Desde el río hasta el mar, Palestina vencerá” se escuchaba en la manifestación, que recorrió parte del barrio burgués de Polanco, conocido por albergar a muchos judíos sionistas, sus negocios y sus condominios. Se hizo una escala en algunos establecimientos comerciales como un Starbucks y una tienda Zara, en donde se señaló la complicidad de estas compañías multinacionales con la guerra de ocupación y de exterminio que lleva a cabo el Estado genocida de Israel.

Durante días anteriores se llevó a cabo también una rodada con bicicletas en Paseo de la Reforma y se desplegó la bandera palestina en el centro comercial de la exclusiva Torre Mitikah, en la que los manifestantes fueron agredidos por personal de seguridad. Este edificio que es el más alto de la Ciudad de México es propiedad de los El-Mann Azari, judíos israelís residentes en México, a través de la empresa Fibra Uno, la cual es una inmobiliaria que se ha hecho de mucho capital gracias a tráfico de influencias con el gobierno de la delegación Benito Juárez y de la Ciudad de México. La construcción de la torre Mitikah fue desafiada por los residentes del barrio popular de Xoco, debido a la gentrificación que esta construcción traería (y trajo) a la zona.

En México continúa existiendo un gran movimiento de solidaridad con Palestina, aunque denunciamos que el gobierno mexicano continúa negándose a romper cualquier tipo de relaciones con Israel. También denunciamos la tibieza del boletín que se leyó en la manifestación de ayer por parte de organizadores de la Plataforma Común por Palestina, quienes abiertamente y de forma unilateral abogaron por una solución de dos estados, la cual es una trampa criminal que solamente mantiene a Israel con el poder de continuar su guerra de exterminio y la sistemática ocupación de tierra que no le pertenece. Además de que en su propuesta se maneja una intervención a través de un hipotético mecanismo vía ONU para que el gobierno mexicano sea un mediador en el conflicto. ¿A caso estas personas no entienden lo que quiere decir “desde el río hasta el mar”?

Esta posición adquirida por la Plataforma Común por Palestina representa un terrible retroceso con respecto a las exigencias que se realizaban en un inicio por la ruptura de relaciones con Israel. Urgimos a los miembros de la plataforma a que rectifiquen en sus posturas, y a que no permitan que el partido Morena interfiera en ellas, pues, de entrada, la candidata a la presidencia de ese partido, Claudia Sheinbaum, quien es la designada “sucesora” de AMLO, tiene fuertes nexos con la sociedad sionista de México (lo mismo que todos los demás partidos burgueses), más allá de su origen judío, y en general, el partido ha demostrado una tendencia de cooptar movimientos sociales en favor de sus intereses electorales. Una posición como la que mostró la Plataforma Común por Palestina el día de ayer solamente sirve a los intereses del Estado de Israel, y no al pueblo palestino.

Aunque sabemos que dentro de un movimiento amplio de solidaridad, las posiciones políticas pueden variar, es una realidad que la mayoría de la población palestina ha demostrado en encuestas recientes, tanto el apoyo a la resistencia armada, como un rechazo rotundo a la política de solución de dos Estados, [1] por lo que nosotros como Corriente Comunista Revolucionaria Internacional (CCRI), no solo apoyamos esta posición por ser la que la mayoría palestina sostiene, sino porque además, es parte de un principio marxista por la liberación de un pueblo oprimido en contra de la colonización por parte de un país imperialista como lo es Israel, que además es apoyado por las Grandes Potencias imperialistas. La próxima manifestación será este sábado 13 de enero a las 4 de la tarde, partiendo desde el Ángel de la Independencia con dirección al Zócalo capitalino.

Leeds (UK): March for Permanent Ceasefire in Gaza

About 1.000 people demonstrated on 6^th January in the centre of Leeds, a working-class city in Yorkshire. The march was organised by the Palestine Solidarity Campaign which also held a number of similar events in other regions in Britain.

Most participants of the demonstration were migrants from Palestine and the Middle East diaspora. Many of them were draped in the Palestine flag and Palestine colours. Demonstrators chanted slogans like “Ceasefire Now”, “End the Occupation”, “From the River to the Sea, Palestine Will Be Free”, or “Israel is a Terror State”.

Militants of the RCIT participated in the march, talked to demonstrators and handed out our leaflet “Stop the New Nabka” which was well received.
