Kashmiri Revolutionaries join the RCIT!
Statement on Jammu Kashmir Revolutionary Socialists (Kashmir) becoming a sympathizing section of the Revolutionary Communist International Tendency, 28 October 2019, www.thecommunists.net
1. After a period of joint discussion and collaboration the Revolutionary Communist International Tendency (RCIT) and its Pakistani section welcome the Jammu Kashmir Revolutionary Socialists (JKRS) as a sympathizing section of the RCIT. The JKRS is a revolutionary socialist organization which is active under highly repressive conditions in both the Pakistani- as well as the Indian-occupied part of Kashmir.
2. The programmatic basis for the fusion constitutes the RCIT’s Action Program for Pakistan (https://www.thecommunists.net/worldwide/asia/pakistan-action-program/), the RCIT’s “Manifesto for Revolutionary Liberation” https://www.thecommunists.net/rcit-program-2016/ as well as the RCIT Statement “India: Defend the Kashmiri People against Modi’s “Israel-Style” Attack!”, https://www.thecommunists.net/worldwide/asia/india-defend-the-kashmiri-people-against-modi-s-attack/).
3. We agree in supporting the struggle of the Kashmiri people against the oppression by the Indian state as well as by Pakistan. We call for an independent, united and socialist Kashmir. We agree in opposing all imperialist Great Powers (U.S., China, EU, Russia and Japan) as well as regional powers like India. We share the socialist perspective of the liberation struggle of the working class in Kashmir, Pakistan and India against the imperialist powers as well as against the local ruling capitalist class. The revolutionary struggle must aim for a voluntary Socialist Federation of South Asia which respects the right of national self-determination of all oppressed people!
4. We call upon revolutionaries in Kashmir, Pakistan and India to join us in our struggle to rebuild a Revolutionary World Party – an international party determined to fight for socialist revolution in South Asia and around the world!
